Mothers against the draft compare Bush to Hitler, we have heard this before

This is not name calling, it's making a comparison. Maybe you're not familiar with the history of Adolf Hitler and the HJ. There are a lot of parallels between Hitler and Bush, you can't just look at them and say that's ridiculous because Hitler killed Jews and Bush didn't. There's a whole lot more to in, the mechanics of his political machine, the popularity and sway he had over people that didn't even agree with him but gave him the power and authority he needed to do what he did. Instead of taking this comment as a personal attack, you might want to learn more about European history and politics.

It's hard to believe these sort of folks still exist, they are still fighting the 2004 campaign.I just hope this organization doesn't make any headway into the public schools, they have enough problems as it is.

Goodwin was right and his "law" applies to "real lfe" as well.

Goodwin's Law of Usenet
Professor Goodwin, U of I, in 1981 made the observation that Usenet discussions gravitate downhill.

He postulated that as the length of a discussion thread grows, the probability approaches one (1) that one participant will introduce the terms "Hitler" or "Nazi".

The custom has evolved that the first party to utter "Hitler" or "Nazi" has lost the discussion, and the thread terminates.

I am not going to call these people names.....but I think there is a good comparison to make between these the intelligence of "Mothers against the draft" and tree stumps...

Y'know, it's pretty gosh-darned easy to be against things that don't even exist! They should take on more things of doubious existance, like they could be Mothers against Bigfoot, Mothers against the Loch Ness Monster, Mothers Against Life on Mars, and, my personal favorite, Mothers Against the Ghost of Carl Sagan.

Aren't Charles Wrangle and some other, even more obscure dem, the only two to put forth draft legislation? Why don't they compare them to Hitler, as long as they're off in fantasy land?

Charles Wrangle was for it before he voted against it, even. You could compare him to John F. Kerry. < shudder! >

Useful Idiots, Stooges and MothersAgainstTheDraft.org

I’m predicting a long hot summer from the peaceniks. They have only one goal and that is advancing their socialist agenda. Positive results in Iraq and Afghanistan mean nothing to them. The protesters have recovered from the election are rested and ready to go. March 19th will be the beginning of thinks to come.

On February 14th a new web site/ organization was started called MothersagainstTheDraft.org. The founders include members of Eagle Forum Nevada and The Constitution Party.

Quote from MAD site “ Mothers Against the Draft was started by a group of mothers and grandmothers from the left, the right, and everywhere in between, all united in opposition to reinstituting the draft or any other form of mandatory national service.”

These well meaning people are the useful idiots of the 21st century. Based on the entries in their forum they will be used as tools of the socialist left to oppose any American success. Groups that oppose the draft also oppose military recruiting at schools and the military in general. They (the board members) have not taken an official stance on recruiting, but some of the members seem to be opposed to all military service.

Why stooges? They won’t accept facts. They oppose something that’s not going to happen. They are planning for college campus activism in the future. For what reason? Here are some facts

· The Military opposes a draft.

· The Air Force and Navy plan to reduce their manpower.

· The Congress needs only approve more permanent full time slots to fill any manpower shortage in the Army and Marines.

· The only people supporting a draft are Democrats; the Republicans control congress.

Here is a quote from one board member

“Bush has said he does not want a draft. He is on our side on this issue. All our statements, all our concerns here are directed to Congress, not Bush. “ Charlene Nelson MAD board Member

This view is far removed from the general opinion in the members forum. The forum looks more like the DU or the Indy Media.

As I said earlier these people seem well meaning. They are now in effect part of the Moveon, Unitedforpeace and International ANSWER Kabul and they don’t know it. Will the Eagle forum members now begin showing up at an anti-war rallies?

This is not name calling, but mothersagainstthedraft can be compared to tree stumps.

1. Equivalent IQ
2. Hard to get rid of them
3. We are tired of seeing them
4. They don't contribute anything to society
5. Neither voted for George Bush
6. Both consume water
