I have seen it written that the United States (or North America as a whole) consumes more CO2 than we generate due to the amount of forest and other green space we have restored and enjoy. I do understand that America is more heavily forested now than at any time since the 19th century. Does anyone know if the above contentions are correct and, if so, where there is a relatively unbiased / irrefutable source to cite for the information?

What the scare mongers always cite is that on a per capita basis we produce more CO2 emissions than any other country but they never seem to bring up our consumption. Logically, more CO2 should lead to more and healthier plant life, and more oxygen (O2) for animal life. That is, nature doing what it usually does, balancing things out in the end, without our interference.

New Jersey ping. This state needs a collective head examination.
