www.Studentsforacademicfreedom.org is a website for a student ridiculed by liberal professor... Lets help Hannity out
Bloggers are being denigrated as fools in many circles. There is some truth to that, as truth on a blog is a rare thing on the other side.
We ferret the truth out of MSM news and opinion.
A huge difference between what we do and a essay blogger or even a link site like Drudge.
We do have a blogger section, however it does not reflect what we do here. It is just a blog section of a much larger enterprise.
We are fortunate to have such a thing. I get kinda bowed up, when it is attacked.:-)
Me thinks far too many here; protest way too much about a Conservative who has a national radio/tv audience. Has Hannity criicized some here at FR? Yes. . .(Actually his criticism began as a response. . .) Has he been criticized here at FR. . .sure . .and plenty.
No one has to like the guy. . .but why are some here so thin-skinned?
Hannity has been under attack mode here for over a year - actually longer - substantiative observations by many; stupid carping by many others.
Why cannot more here. . .just move along; and focus on getting the truth out about the Libs; and the truth out re the Repub message. . .
The more 'bahwahhing' here re Hannity; the more his point about some 'fringe' seems valid - worse, his description of some here as 'fringe'; at the least, is beginning to look like a compliment. . .and at the most, a self-fulfilling prophecy. . .why make his point for him?
And every time he mentions FR; no doubt more come to see what FR is about; it is still a win. . .
Worse than that, launch attacks at the forum from a nationally syndicated show as payback and to advertise his own forum.
Trixie did not even do that.
He did not apologize, he dug deeper. justified his actions.
Can't do that.
I guess I am done with this. Nothing left to say.
Since I wasn't a Freeper during that time and didn't even know about this site, I don't know what all went on or who was here so please forgive my question when I sincerely ask......how do you know you were one of the "fringe kooks" he referred to?
I ask this because most of the people I have exchanged with, read or so-called met in here strike me as well grounded, very interesting, very knowledgable and people I learn a lot from....but there have been one at times that kinda scare me or have been rather rude. These later are what I think of as "fringe kooks".
It was very veiled. He 'clarified'
-good times, G.J.P.(Jr.)
He mentioned freerepublic on getting the word out on liberal professors and contacting the school when he was talking to that muslim student that wrote a pro-american essay and was ridiculed by a liberal professor.
Fact is, any mention of Freerepublic.com(especially on tv) would benefit our forum greatly.
Unbelievable story! Such a shame that this young man was persecuted for his views.
Ahh. In other words, he pulled a Clinton.
You know, I would have forgotten the insult already had he simply been man enough to admit he was wrong and said "sorry".
I hold no animus toward Hannity. Hell, I watch him almost every night H&C but he and all other conservatives in the media need to be careful about attacking each other. Free Republic is an immensely valuable asset, and because of this is on every left wing hitlist.
He gets: 1 (ONE)- GET OUT OF JAIL FREE Card to use this time. I'm a HUGE believer in the "it's better to debate over, than to divide over" theory, but his next Freeper train wreck, he may not survive!
"I think well of him. He may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I don't see much reason for some people to attack him."
Exactly. There some things he goes on and on about that loses me but rather than get ticked I switch channels/stations. Some seem unable to do that. LOL
"Keep up the good work Sean! (Hannity)

Keep up the good work Sean!"

Yep, not much else you can say I imagine.
"Ok, ColdHeat..how about a "great meeting place and advocacy forum."?"
I guess for some it matters bunches. Get insulted even! LOL
Very very well said but having been here so long you would know that. LOL
It's unfortunate that there are a few that behave in a way that only serves to enforce the liberal stereotype of the right.......mean, mean spirted, hateful.....yadda yadda.
Undermines the credibility for the rest.
Did you hear what he actually said? You are not characterizing it accurately. If you heard it, then the reason an apology is due should be rather obvious.
Completely Understood. From one ground pounder to another, thanks for your service to Country!
It is called the forum.
The people that slammed Hannity two years ago are not likely here anymore, to begin with.
Jim zotted them personally in most cases, or they left with tail between legs.
From JR's perspective, hannity is right in his criticisms of what happened to him personally, but I am right to be very upset, dismayed and angered at the shotgun blast leveled at everyone on this forum.
It is one heck of a lot better than it was before, and gets better all the time.
Some people are going to come here with a narrow mind, a motive, and sometimes a lousy immature argument style.
They are a minority and often do not last long.
Hannity threw a bomb that did not hit them. It hit those of us who try everyday to promote reasoned and civil arguments. We are pretty successful.
Hannity made a big mistake with his original comments, and now that I have heard the explanation I understand how he came to those conclusions.
He admitted he has not been on the forum in a couple years. He admits by that statement that he has no clue what it is like here any longer and what we go through to allow freedom of thought, yet civil discourse. He named some folks who we know to be of the same opinions and currently engaged in some cases with FR bashing from the outside.
Perfection will never be attained, but the struggle to get there is always a high priority. It must always be balanced by freedom to express ones views however. We are never going to please everyone. Not even most.
I hope people appreciate his fee based, highly regulated forum, but that quashes much of what makes FR as dynamic as it is.
