I thought I heard of this case a while ago.

Even if Hannity is behind the power curve on this story, he can bring a large spotlight to this kids plight.

Not everything that shows up on FR gets the attention it deserves. (Some trivial things get way too much attention. ;)

But, but...just yesterday, didn't Hannity say FR was a bunch of fringe kooks now?

I definitely missed that! I like Sean. Kinda hard to imagine he said that, but I did hear him today talking about FR...... I just didn't get the drift.

Ok, guys. Let's all just take a little breather, and cool off a bit.... I mean, how many of US, have flown off the handle, and said something, STUPID, like that, that hurt someone, or a group of people WE cared about, and we didn't realize what we had said, "until it was too late"? I AGREE, it was wrong, of Sean, to say what he did. BUT, let's not all just decide to toss him overboard, for ONE bad remark.

Sure, he was wrong, to give the impression, that most of us, at FR, are "fringe kooks", and, he probably didn't really mean it that way. And, he probably thinks of me as a "fringe kook", too, , but still, he IS on our side, and we HAVE to remember that.

Give him another chance. After all, Dick morris is on our side, and just 10 years ago, he was in the CLINTON cabal, as firmly as could be!!

Sean has an audience of millions...

Well Good Grief, so does Free Republic! And FR reaches to places where no one has even heard of Fox news or Sean Hannity.

You are mistaken if you think that FR has millions of posters or lurkers.

Hon, you are mistaken if you think I intimated that. You don't think that over a million people have been an "audience" here?

I was responding to your comment about an audience.

So you are saying that Sean's FR-like forum has millions of lurkers and posters?

"Have you lost your mind?"

Well, no, he didn't lose it. He's letting me borrow it for a while. It's being used as a demo model in a psych class.

I'm sure if you're nice you can borrow it....oh wait, Dr. Zoo needs it. Never mind.

"Sean brings his personal life to his show everyday. Can you tell me the name of his daughter?"

Yeah, good question.....and does he prefer the toilet paper over the top or from the bottom?

"I understand this is quite an emotional issue,"

I'll say. I've had to use twice as many Depends today!!!

Rush and Drudge used to come here too come to think of it. They don't anymore....at least not openly. Perhaps there is some truth in what Sean says? hmmmmmm

It's a bit of a love/hate relationship between Hannity and Free Republic. I know there is a lot more support for him than contempt because his views resonate so loudly here.

BTW, my opinion is that I like Sean's radio show but Hannity and Colmes has become a bore.

This student needs support, no doubt.

And the fact that some here are willing to ignore the student because they're peeved at Hannity, the messenger, just proves that Hannity is right.

There ARE some fringe nuts here, who would rather be angry then be fighting for the cause. They're as useless to conservatism as the GOP Reps in the House were before Newt rounded them up, and said we need to start fighting.

Why did Hannity bring it up NOW?

I don't know. Maybe because NOW he has received a request for help from the student.

Everyone remembers the George Bush 1 quote that sunk his attempt at a 2nd term -- RML. NNT --- I didn't vote for him as a result and am proud of it to this day. It was a deliberate lie, and a violation of basic principle.

But there was another Bush1 moment that I remember that was eye-opening to me, and I respect Bush1 for saying it...It was when some of the pundits were clamoring for the President to dump Dan Quayle from the '92 ticket. Bush said, In my family, loyalty is counted as an important virtue.

Quayle was in the family, and so is Hannity.

That doesn't mean we have to accept everything they say and do, but it does mean that we don't cut our own throats, or their's for some small disagreement.

Thanks for explaining. I too like his radio show, most of the time and like you I've found the Fox show boring. I'm picky about when I watch it depending on guests. I've found that too often my blood pressure goes up from detesting Colmes stupid questions and comments so much.

Colmes claims to be Christian, other times says he's Jewish, yet his beliefs are closer to communism than anything. Mostly he's just abrasively stupid. (stupid = very slow of apprehension or understanding, reason, or wit; senseless)
