When I was a kid, there was a body shop on Franklin Avenue (Malverne/Valley Stream border) that had a replica of the General Lee parked in front to attract business. Me and my freinds used to hum dixie whenever we would pass by on the school bus.

Back in the 80's here in Douglasville, Georgia, there was a body shop owner that had a replica of the General Lee, complete with roll bars.

There was another guy that took a '72 vette body, slapped it on a 4 wheel drive frame and chassis, and painted it in the "General Lee" scheme.
