I do not understand these people - you do not have to support the war in order to wish the troops well, a safe return, and also to give thanks for the sacrifices they are making.

You know, these kind of stupid a$$ statements really hurt. My nephew called this morning from Iraq and I've made the mistake of then reading this thread here. When is the last time any of them got a call from the field, a letter, or the ever dreaded silence of OS? When have they seen deadly reports and waited in silence to hear news?

It is amazing that people like this can be sooooo ignorant, soooo in denial, sooooo evil. In light of everything, I can't understand these nutjobs. It is this attitude that undermines our troops.

We're all entitled to FOS, but if ya' are saying things that are sooo hurtful and patently false...you're a traitor and deserve the consequences of that choice. Our young men are over there fighting for your freedoms and rights, you are taking for granted. Perhaps spending some time in a nation, like where our men are, would do you some good. Little do you realize that anywhere else in the world you would go to jail or be put to a torturess death for speaking like you have. It is your beloved 'secularism' our men are dieing for...and you have the gall to say stuff like that!

If we lose, if we fail, they will be the first to die. They are the very 'infidels' that are hated most. The things they stand for are what our enemy hates.

I watched the Superbowl with my daughter, my girlfriend, her father and several of her relatives and friends. My daughter lost and eye, the hearing in her left ear and suffered some nerve damage to her left arm in a grenade attack in Bagdad.

All of us teared up at the commercial. Most of my girlfriends uncles and her father were Vietnam vets and said, "Times sure do change." I did not tell them about DU. My daughter knows all about DU. They said she deserved what happened to her because she was fighting in an illegitimate war for an illegitimate President.

I post DU links on every board I visit, even a couple of motorcycle boards. They serve every amount of exposure I can give them.
