The Red Flag, by James Connell, was the song of the British Labour Party, sung at every party conference. It was so well known in British popular culture that it often came as a surprise to working class British kids to discover that the tune was much better known in the rest of the world as Tannenbaum, or O Christmas Tree!
James Connell died in 1929.
It is hailed by Marxists as their anthem.
