Cut and Run: A plan for Iraq by Sen. Ted Kennedy.

At this point in time things are way too dicey in Iraq to proclaim victory over the terrorists, but a few million inked fingers have shown the world that Muslims do want freedom.

This is not a day to celebrate. Several US and British troops lost their lives defending the Iraqi people on election day. And while we remember their sacrifices, there is one American who steadfastly refuses to admit that getting rid of Saddam was the right thing to do. I understand that there are people, like my own father who believe that Bush is a moron, and that this was is a waste of money and American lives. I disagree wholeheartedly with my dad, but I know where he is coming from. Ted, on the other hand, is a different story.

Who stole Ted Kennedy's brain? I understand his hatred towards Bush, but does he really think that we are going to make Iraq the 51st state in the Union? The Iraqi's themselves aren't convinced that we want to colonize their country, so where is Ted getting his ideas from.

Maybe he's not paying attention,

Harry Reid said this weekend we need more troops.

Of course John Kerry said he would do it smarter

Dean said "Aaaaaaarrrrggggghhhhh!"

Hey Ted, Here's your little buddy's stand on using American Forces. It's obvious that genocide is NOT something you boys feel military forces should eliminate.... so how do you further define Mr. Cambodia's view?

Dying for the United Nations

Why is John Kerry no Clinton-Lieberman Democrat? Easy. His obeisance to the U.N.

WHO WOULD HAVE EXPECTED the Washington Post to inflict real damage on John Kerry's faltering presidential campaign? Yet they have.

Here is the third paragraph from today's front-page article by Helen Dewar and Tom Ricks on Kerry's foreign policy record:

Kerry's belief in working with allies runs so deep that he has maintained that the loss of American life can be better justified if it occurs in the course of a mission with international support. In 1994, discussing the possibility of U.S. troops being killed in Bosnia, he said, "If you mean dying in the course of the United Nations effort, yes, it is worth that. If you mean dying American troops unilaterally going in with some false presumption that we can affect the outcome, the answer is unequivocally no."

When the Bush campaign talks about John Kerry's wanting a "permission slip" from the U.N., many commentators dismiss it as rhetorical excess. But Kerry really does believe that the United Nations is a fundamental, legitimizing body for the use of U.S. force. One hears this deference to the U.N. all the time in European capitals, but it is rare to hear it even among mainstream American liberals. In this respect, as in others, Kerry really is a throwback. He still shares the McGovernite distrust of U.S. force and suspicion of the judgments that are arrived at by the American body politic.

John Kerry is not a Clinton-Lieberman Democrat. His near obsession with gaining the approval of the U.N., and for that matter of France and Germany, for the conduct of U.S. foreign policy would make him the riskiest commander in chief of any presidential candidate since George McGovern--and surely makes Kerry unsuitable to govern in a post-9/11 world.

Kennedy isn't a dumb guy, but I absolutely do not understand his rationale

Repeat after me: "Kennedy is/has always been - a socialist who hates democracy"

Apart from certain bastions on the East and West coasts, liberalism is presently in full retreat. The shrill, hostile, almost paranoid screams of agony we're hearing from the Left are an indication of their weakness. Ted, the bulbous, alcohol soaked wastrel of a criminal clan, is merely expressing his horror at watching the crumbling of his empire and his political relevance.

Too bad he has to step on so many on his way down.

Regards, Ivan

"so where is Ted getting his ideas from?"

The bottom of a bottle?

Perhaps the bootlegger history is taking it's toll on his kids? Joe Kennedy made his money on illegal bootlegging. Leave it to liberals to break laws and expect NO coincidences.

Ever watch a drowning (the double symbolism is great huh?) man? They grasp onto anything and anyone as they go down frequently dragging others with them. And so it is with the swimmer. As the liberal elites colapse they'll all drown in the sea of BS, hate, and lies that they have created for themselves
