The poster went on to complain some more about how much this has cost our country’s reputation and continued to spout things such as “I can’t think of a single cause outside of the borders of my country that would be worth destroying my country for. And that’s what has happened, I don’t care how happy the Iraqis are.” And that, my friend, is why I will never be a liberal. I do not value my reputation higher than my values. I am not so selfish as to think that our country’s reputation or financial prosperity is more important that people living in oppression and being tortured to death. I believe that there are things more important that people liking you, and that is, doing the right thing. See I believe that morals and values are the greatest asset anyone can have and if that makes me unpopular, uncool or disliked, so be it.
