{I am happy for the brave people of Iraq who faced off the insurgents and who had enough nerve to trust the security of their lives in the hands of an occupying force. For sure this was a victory AGAINST the insugents, if not a total victory for the Iraqi people. And that's GOOD thing.

[LOUSY FREEPER TROLL!!!]}

I have to comment that I am encouraged and amazed at the bravery of the Iraqi people, who not only defied the terrorists to go to the polls, but continue to proudly wear that indelible ink that probably continues to make them a target.

This should make many in our own country very ashamed. What threats do we face when we go to the polls? Rain? Long lines? Butterfly ballots? The Iraqis had very complex ballots because of the number of candidates. Did we hear any of them complaining? No. They were just thrilled to finally have a real voice.

You got it, Madam.

All these people took real risks, real hazards, in going out to vote--the polls could have been blown up by a suicide bomber, or riddled with machine-gun fire, for all they knew.

And here in America, we have those who griped and complained and whined and moaned and carried on, because they had to wait a few minutes to vote, and were not given a comfortable recliner-chair on which to sit, and a cup of coffee and a doughnut, while waiting their turn.
