The absence of logic in your post is humorous. The supermarket and a forum such as freerepublic have absolutely nothing in common. I would imagine that one of the purposes for this forums existence is to allow Republicans and conservatives to network, hence my introduction.

On another note…what have you accomplished?

Mr. Krive, a few more comments - see if you can amend your title to something more fitting a conservative forum, that is, a title which sounds less like a bad line from an outer-space alien "B" movie.

Also your newcomer status will be challenged in direct proportion to the amount of sarcasm, hostility and contention your posts convey.

Free Republic is not really tightly tied to real world identities. This is both a good thing and a bad thing. The good side is that I think, going back a ways .. and I've been here since '98... it originally allowed conservatives who were used to be outnumbered and discriminated against to vent freely. These days it still lets people be more, well .. FREE, as the name implies then if they were posting under their real names as you have chosen to.

Of course like any freedom the near-anonymity of Free Republic is also abused. Flame wars, idiot vanity postings, the normal internet stuff.

Some of the most notable Freepers, such as Jeff Head, have always used their real names. Others such as Travis McGee began with a pseudo-name but told us so much about themselves that we came to know them in the real world too.

As for me my proudist accomplishment, by far, are my two girls age 15 and 21. Both great students and people. Along the way I've picked up a lot of skills, done well in my profession, made friends and traveled. I haven't written the Great American Novel, launced a successful IPO startup, or run for office. I play a mean slide guitar though.

Welcome! Nice to have you here. You sound like a very smart, sincere and hardworking guy! Good for you. Phillis Schafley has done a lot for the conservative movement, I'd be proud of it.

BTW: just cause I'm not a huge Alan Keyes fan I still think it's cool to work on his campaign. After all he was the party nominee. And good for him for being willing to take the shot. But I just think it was not just hopeless (you can run a hopeless but sort of dignified campaign), but it was ugly.
