This year Rep. Brian Duprey of Hampden, a conservative Republican, introduced a bill at the request of one of his constituents to make legal, homosexual marriage, in this state. This, of course, threw the Governor and his political lackeys into a tizzy. Not only did a conservative Republican introduce such a bill but he had done it a couple of years before the Governor and his liberal dupes had laid the proper groundwork to brainwash as many Mainers as possible. The spokesman for Baldacci, Lee Umphery, claimed that Rep. Duprey was a liar when he stated that he had submitted the bill "at the request of a constituent." "His constituent is obstruction" said the spokesperson for Governor Baldacci.
The dictionary defines an obstructionist as "A person who hinders progress, especially in legislation." How can one hinder progress in a social culture unless an agenda is already being prepared to brainwash the public into accepting a social/cultural acceptability different from prevailing morals, beliefs and traditions? And, as the issues surrounding this bill continue to unfold we come to the reality that the ultimate goalpost of the Baldacci administration is nothing short of legal homosexual marriage in this state,...

This is driving our dishwasher turned governor nuts.
If there is one (with a spine), he or she must be there on vacation from somewhere else.
How is the wunderkind, Balducci, doing? I remember a few years back he wanted Maine to have universal health care. Did that ever happen, and if so, how well does it work?
he calls it dirago or something,
He has to be a closet redneck.
Hampden is in the 2nd Congressional District, the less Democrat of Maine's two districts (Bush got 45.6% in 2000 and 46.1% in 2004). Brian Duprey sounds like he could be a good candidate to take on Michael Michaud, the pro-life, pro-gun Democrat first elected in 2002. However, after barely defeating a Snowe-backed RINO in 2002, Michaud has apparently solidified his hold on the swing district, defeating pro-abortion Republican Brian Hamel by 58%-39% in 2004. I don't know if it would be a smart move for Duprey to use his new-found fame to run for Congress---perhaps he could run against the very liberal Governor Baldacci instead, which would yield a higher reward. It sounds strange to be mentioning a state rep for Governor, but from the little I know about the Maine GOP there isn't much from which to choose when it comes to reasonably conservative candidates for statewide office.
