It's one of the photos that rotates through my screensavers on my laptop at work. When it comes up, if people are passing by, they almost always do a doubletake! :-)
I can't remember for the life of me where I got it from....some "gov" site....it's on the tip of my tongue...and it just escapes me at the moment. If I remember, I'll send it your way. They had a LOT of photos.

Thank you. I'd appreciate that. I couldn't resist saving a copy of it. I'll send it to my brother. He's a newly promoted big shot with the DOD. He'll love it!

Let's not forget Berriman Adler (Barry) Seal, the man who broke the Cali Cartel. (or so I've been told). He figured prominately in the Mena operation, according to Terry Reed, who co-wrote "Compromised".
Barry Seal was gunned down at a half-way house by Columbians, and was the subject of the movie, "Double-crossed", starring Dennis Hopper, and Robert Carradine.

Yes, but Barry made his bones flying in coke and ludes.
Barry was ballsy and a great talker but to brag on publi television that he wasn't afraid of Pablo Escobar and he could see a Colombian coming from a mile away ...all the time he was then unarmed in a half way house betrayed by the local Fed judge.
..well, anyhow...a little bravado goes a long way.
rumour always was that young Fabio Ochoa was really the one who pushed to whack Seal....not Pablo.
Course now...Fabio rots in US custody for heroin trafficking ..after he had made his deal and was free and clear. Dumb move Fabio.
Some of those Colombian padrones believe their own hype

The movie version had Seal running pot into Louisiana, and when he got busted, he offered to hand Ochoa over to the DEA. Artistic license, I'm sure.
However, the real story, not told in the movie, was his connection to the Mena, Arkansas operation while ole Bubba was gov.
Have you read Compromised?
It's a very interesting story, told by a man who was already working for the FBI.

Good article. Terry Reed was also a co-pilot/flight instructor at the time all this was going on.
According to his accounts in Compromised, he and Seal were training Nicaraguan pilots to fly their own planes.
He made a few trips to Nicacragua as co-pilot, running the weapons down, and says in his book that duffel bags were loaded into the plane for the return trip.
He claims that prior to landing at Mena, Seal would over-fly a section of Arkansas and throw the duffel bags out.
It turned out, the piece of land he was flying over, belonged to Seth Ward, father-in-law to Webster Hubbell.
Reed claimed to have looked in the bags and saw bundles of cash one time and cocaine on another occasion.
Arkansas was being run like a third world dictatorship under Bubbas rule.

I think this whole sordid incident fell apart after Hasenfus blew his cover.
Personally, I think it was a set-up.
These guys were Air America/Southern Air..CIA front organizations.
