Believe 10% of what you hear and ignore denials of capture.

Local Kurdish media: Al-Zarqawi was arrested

04/01/2005 KurdishMedia.com London (KurdishMedia.com) 04 January 2005: Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, whom the US occupation authorities declared to be the "target number one" in Iraq, has been arrested in the city of Baakuba, reported local Kurdish media.

Al-Zarqawi, leader of the radical Islamic group Al-Tawhid Wa’al-Jihad, whom the US put a bounty of US$10 million, was recently appointed the director of the Al-Qaeda organisation in Iraq.

AINA reports:

Posted 01-04-2005 10:57:31 (GMT 1-4-2005 16:57:31)

Kurdish sources and media are reporting that Iraqi security forces have captured the wanted Jordanian terrorist Abu Musab Al-Zarkawi. Zarkawi is thought to be the leader of much of the anti-American, Islamist insurgency in Iraq and a local commander for Al-Qaeda.

While official Iraqi sources have yet to confirm or deny, Arabic media outlets throughout the Middle East are repeating the Kurdish reports. IsraelNN.com

I am hoping we have him. After the tsunami and continuing attacks in Iraq, I do want to believe this. Zarqawi's capture would of course be great news for a change, a huge break and a boost for the upcoming elections. So I'm crossing my fingers. The fact is no one around here knows for sure. I can think of several reasons why we would not admit to having him even if we did. Can you?

I pity you, man. My in-laws are annoying as anything, but at least they vote right.

In the beginning, I tried to be nice about it, but when my father-in-law said he just wasn't sure "he wouldn't get on the stand and lie about sex, too" all bets were off.

I know meet them at the door with this on:

My kids had Bush-Cheney t-shirts and were going around asking everyone we met, "Who are YOU voting for?" If they answered incorrectly, they got a lecture from a six year old about freedom and conservatism.

Wish he could have met your FIL.

My second oldest grandson, 3 and a half, rushed into the polling place on Election Day yelling "Where's George Bush?"

HAHAHHAHAHA!

When asked who he wanted to vote for in this year's election, Alex responded, "Ronald Reagan." He decided that George Bush was a close second...since they're both cowboys.

We had been to the White House in June and he had seen Bush's office; he's pretty stuck on Bush now because the Secret Service gave him jellybeans.

Its all KARL ROVE working for Allawi!

After the election, and tricking Dan Rather with the fake memos, and rigging that Osama tape in some Hollywood backlot.. hes at it again.

This time, they re-captured Zarqawi and are waiting to bring him out just before the elections to ensure a BIG turnout and a strong 'mandate' for Allawi.

DAMN hes good! ;)

U.S. Forces Detain Zarqawi-Linked Militant in Iraq
Wed Dec 29, 9:45 AM ET

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=574&ncid=721&e=3&u=/nm/20041229/wl_nm/iraq_zarqawi_arrest_dc

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. forces have captured a man described as a senior commander of a militant group linked to al Qaeda ally Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Iraqi government said on Wednesday.

It said in a statement the 33-year-old Iraqi, whom it named only as Abu Marwan, was a leader of the hitherto unknown Abu Talha group, affiliated to the Jordanian militant whom Osama bin Laden (news - web sites) this week endorsed as his lieutenant in Iraq (news - web sites).

Zarqawi's Al Qaeda Organization in Iraq has claimed responsibility for some of bloodiest suicide bombings and beheadings of foreign hostages in Iraq this year.

A separate but possibly allied group, Ansar al-Sunna, said it was behind last week's suicide bombing of a U.S. mess tent in Mosul, which killed 18 Americans and three Iraqis.

The government statement did not say whether Abu Marwan was connected to that suicide bombing.

"Abu Marwan was responsible for conducting and commanding terrorist operations in Mosul, purchasing weapons for Talha's terrorist group, and coordinating the training of terrorist cells within the Abu Talha terrorist group," it said.

It said Abu Marwan had been detained six days ago after a tip-off from local residents.

U.S. forces launched an offensive on the western city of Falluja last month, with the aim of crushing foreign fighters loyal to Zarqawi, whom it said were leading a Sunni insurgency from there.

But U.S. and Iraqi officials have since acknowledged that Islamic militants slipped out of Falluja ahead of the assault and headed for other Sunni cities, notably Mosul which has witnessed a growing slide toward chaos in recent months.

We are on the same sheet. W said we would not even know much of what was happening in this war on terrorism so I take that to the next level and assume much of what we are told is designed to help win the war with mis-information.

I think we have this bad guy and are in the process of torturing him and I will blow your socks off here-I think we have had Osama for a very long time. When I post this idea, people come out of the woodwork to deny this and I have been banned from many sites because I have claimed this is the truth and have given evidence to prove it.
