I wore Parachute Pants and by the end of the decade had a Richard Marx-style mullet!
I was just in mall today and saw that all kinds of horrible fashions from the '80s were in the department stores. I really hope wearing a tie and sports coat with jeans isn't really making a comeback... (Although I also cringed the other day when I looked at some photos of myself during my senior year in HS in 1995)
If I say 'bat wings' you won't laugh then? ;-)
(I can't look at photo's of me in my teens...there's one pic of me, where I look like a wasp. A bright yellow and black bat wing *fame* top, with ski pants, and yellow netting in my hair...and FINGERLESS lace gloves).
Put it this way, I'm going to a fancy dress party for New Years, and I'd be too embarrassed to wear that get-up!
Somewhere out there is a video of me wearing parachute pants while playing with my band at the time. I fully expect a blackmail attempt.
