Am I alone in thinking this is crazy?

No crazier than states that still have "dry" counties.

No, it's a lot crazier. Dry counties are the result of the right of the people in those counties to choose that status.

Show me the constitutional authorization for this FEDERAL law. Do many pharmacy counters straddle state lines? Is this a national security matter?

That is crazy. Who do they think they are, forcing their morals on ... well ... on themselves.

That's BS. We should be allowed to force these counties to serve liquor. To force our amorality on them!

You mean the states with "dry" counties that were VOTED to be dry by the LEGAL VOTERS OF THOSE COUNTIES?

Certainly I find it ironic that a county could be dry while all surrounding counties were "wet", but if the voters choose to not allow alcohol sales in that county - that's their right as voters.

But back to the cold medicine limits - that was NOT voted in by voters. It was instated by beaurocrats who like nothing more than to have a controlling hand on every aspect of our lives.

And you know what - there is zero evidence that the controls/limits on Pseudoephedrin products has cut down on the production of Meth. It's just made it a lot less convenient for legitimate cold/alergy/sinus sufferers.

I guess it's a lot like "gun control" laws - little to no impact on the crimes they supposedly are to prevent. But notice how they don't get repealed.

Yes it is, because this is FEDERAL. You don't have the option of driving to the next county. You also don't have the option of going to a Board of Supervisors meeting and lobbying to have the law changed.
