You mean the states with "dry" counties that were VOTED to be dry by the LEGAL VOTERS OF THOSE COUNTIES?
Certainly I find it ironic that a county could be dry while all surrounding counties were "wet", but if the voters choose to not allow alcohol sales in that county - that's their right as voters.
But back to the cold medicine limits - that was NOT voted in by voters. It was instated by beaurocrats who like nothing more than to have a controlling hand on every aspect of our lives.
And you know what - there is zero evidence that the controls/limits on Pseudoephedrin products has cut down on the production of Meth. It's just made it a lot less convenient for legitimate cold/alergy/sinus sufferers.
I guess it's a lot like "gun control" laws - little to no impact on the crimes they supposedly are to prevent. But notice how they don't get repealed.
I would think people using it for unintended purposes would just steal it anyway. We had a big problem with teens stealing Claritin when it became OTC.
