Perhaps those countires affected by the tidal wave should have earmarked disaster relief funds that were included in the 2002 Foriegn Operations Appropriations Act which sent $918 million to South Asia and $298 million to East Asia for some warning bouys. The 18 countries included Sri Lanka, East Timor, India, Thailand etc.... That's over a billion dollars! Not too "stingy" is it?
That would be Boyle's Law, would it not?
I thought I heard some ditzy blond on the O'reilly show blame the U.S. for not signing the Kyota accords, thus producing global warming that caused the tsunami. She also was critical of the small amount of aid the U.S. was providing. She really felt she had all the answers.
Typical liberal bushwah.
But later on, we were watching one of the Naked Gun movies, and there was a scene in a bar whose theme was disaster: First the camera pans by a picture of a Great Fire, then a picture of the Hindenburg going down in flames, and lastly, a portrait of Michael Dukakis.
The rest of my family burst out in laughter, except for my brother and his wife: "Who's that?" they said. It made my day to announce the answer, gaining a second round even louder. Sweet!
No way. Melting glaciers, and especially the shrinking of Antarctica, due to global warming were the greatest contributors to this tragedy. I've made my mind up, not on the basis of scientific data, but just because it feels like that must be right. And, no doubt about it, global warming is purely GW Bush's fault.
In the spirit of friendship and mutual respect, I am willing to concede that Halliburton shares the blame, too. I think that's very big of me, and you may have half of the flowers.
We both agree that if only Algore were President, this would be a minor event. I'm not backing off that, but I'm sure you will agree that a Howard Dean administration would have prevented the earthquake altogether.
That scene will need to be amended with two more pictures, one of Kerry, and one of Gore!
How long will it be before we no longer see these "How long will it be before they blame Bush" threads?
That would have been even better!
I thought it was so funny that they didn't recognize Dukakis.
I was convinced long ago that it was time for the US to leave the UN and boot them out of the US. Hopefully, the "stingy" remarks will convince a few more people in position to take action that it is time to do so.
Yea, but its always fun to post the same story by the same poster four or five times. Thats what makes it news. Plus it gives your website hits, pads your purse, etc.
No better place to pimp your site for cash than on FR.
Website pimping unnerves me.
This article hasnt been listed twice. If you would check this you would see. I acidentally posted the article on News instead of bloggers section. Look at Post #3 and you will see that I asked the moderator to move thread to bloggers section, hence the reason it was moved to the Bloggers section.
Check the news section, it is no longer there.
As far as trying to promote my site, thats what I pay Submitnet, Google, Yahoo, and Adbrite the big bucks for.
Oh, they'll blame President Bush just like they blamed him for the Florida hurricanes! How stupid are these people!! What amazes me is that, in O'Reilly's words, those pinheads actually believe all this stuff they say and print!

It's like I always say. If President Bush could walk on water, his critics would merely say, "see, he can't swim."
How long will it be for someone blames the tsunami on Bush?
Bush's call for a constitutional amendment protecting marriage and his opposition to partial birth abortion resulted in overpopulation of coastlines in Asia.
Everyone *knows* Cheney's Halliburton pals have a vested interest in rebuilding post-disaster infrastructure in the third world.
Bush and Cheney are friends of Halliburton, The Tsunami occurred on Christmas, and since friends give friends presents on Christmas, the tsunami was Bush and Cheney's fault.
