PJ has gotten me hooked on leftist wackos. This idiot argues that because the Supreme Court "appointed" W in 2000 he has only been elected in 2004 and could serve a third term in 2008. For those Dummies who have given up preventing the inauguration in 2004 this is their new nightmare. Enjoy!

I guess when you wallow in kookery long enough, you start to forget even the most basic truths. The Supreme Court didn't appoint anybody, can't appoint anybody, but that's neither here nor there. The Electoral College elected Bush in 2000, and that's how he became president, no matter how they arrived at their decision. To argue otherwise would be to say the Electoral College vote was illegal, but then Congress still has the last word, so Bush still would have been Constitutionally elected...but why do we waste our time trying to talk sense to someone firmly convinced of nonsense? It's like trying to convince someone who is determined to believe otherwise that the moon landings were real, or that the earth is round, or that pro-wrestling is fake.

That's no left-wing rant... We have been telling that to Democrats since Nov 3. after all they say he was selected in 2000. Elected in 2004 Re-electedin 2008....It fries their brain...

Maybe we ought to recognize that the Democratic party has been hi-jacked by the 1960-1970 hippies. This done, we should start to help the true Democrats recapture their party. Once done, politics may return to a normal give and take atmosphere.
To: Colonel PK
The "real" Democrats will never get their party back. Since the 1970's the national Democrat leadership have whited themselves out to the highest bidder. The Democrat Party that Zell Miller represented has ceased to exist. The only hope is that those who value the old time principles of the Party form a new one. The party of the donkey has collapsed under an unbearable load.

Heh, this is strange, but no stranger than some of the posts I read here on FR towards the end of Clinton's second term. Tinfoil hat brigade was out in force back then.
To: Zeroisanumber
I never bought into the Clinton staying in power garbage. When I thought about it, I realize he'd need the military behind him and that wasn't happening.
