Don't worry about it. Thread was removed because of her complaints. I'm not arguing with the decision.

You might as well put me on the ping list, too. I was hoping for the rush to be five hundred, but after looking at the thread yesterday the chances are slim. Besides, I have a holiday coming up and I don't want to miss any of these when I can't make it to the computer every day.
That would be a MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all.

Awwwww....Katrina couldn't handle people criticizing her complete lack of understanding of the English language? Poor baby.

And I can't complain authorship of the phrase, either. I heard it once long ago, perhaps when I was living in Nashville. It is definitely an all-purpose line. Another great all-purpose phrase, best delivered in a good Southern accent, is:
"That just ain't right."
Or the variation:
"He just ain't right in the head."

I hope Bev Harris is happy, stealing food from Michael Moore's mouth. There are only so many lib dollars available for con men and Moore claims the lions share. She's hurting him.

At the bottom of all the tributes paid to democracy is the little man, walking into the little booth, with a little pencil, making a little cross on a little bit of paper. . . . Author: Gilbert Keith Chesterton. I wonder what dictionary or internet list of handy quotations they got that out of. I seriously doubt that any Dem/DUer/Bev Harris supporter could read more than a page -- make that a paragraph -- of Chesterton without gagging or screaming for the ACLU.

HA! Typical Demoncat.

I read your link -- 70% of the military vote to Kerry?
I'd have some of what they're having, but it might be too strong for my constitution!

There is no author cited, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Bev herself wrote this little piece of puff. The Bev! That's just too funny. The piece was obviously written by The Bev herself. The style is unmistakable, as she always takes 200 words to say what could easily be said in 2.

"a John Wayne Gacy type." Harumph!
Then he/she/it should have so stated.

" but perhaps Plan9Pub (David Allen)"
Blast.
I am not happy to hear this guy's name come up as being a DU poster. He's a book publisher and unfortunately, he's the publisher of one series that I'm rather fond of. Now I need to figure out how to continue to support the author while minimizing the amount that his idiot publisher gets. (From personal conversations, I knew the guy was a bit of a kook a few years ago, but I hadn't realized how far down the kookiness path he'd gone.)

(From personal conversations, I knew the guy was a bit of a kook a few years ago, but I hadn't realized how far down the kookiness path he'd gone.) Now you know why I am looking for a Major book publisher for the DUFUs. These small web based publishers screw the authors by playing on their vanity. I could easily get such a publisher to publish a DUFU book but I would rather WAIT and get it right.
BTW, as DUmmies go, David Allen isn't as screwed up as the typical DUmmie. He actually has good info on Bev Harris having worked with, and gotten burned by her. Allen claims that Harris raked in closer to a cool million rather than the $300,000 she recently claimed. I expect to see Allen testify against Bev at her upcoming trial. Hopefully this trial will be covered by Court TV.

How dare this person denigrate the great John Wayne in this manner?!
Perhaps he meant "a John Wayne Gacy type."
Maybe it was John Wayne
Bobbit he was thinking of?

And don't forget, that proves Kerry won. Just cause they say Kerry got 70% of the military vote makes it true, you know. (sarcasm)
