Stand Up Against the Seditionists! THE SAN DIEGO MILITARY COUNSELING PROJECT, a group that encourages military personnel to "resist" the war, is holding a rally Saturday afternoon in support of Navy deserter Pablo Paredes.

We'll be there, too.

Who: The San Diego Chapter of Protest Warrior, and anyone else who believes Liberty is worth defending. What: A rally in support of our military.

When: 1230pm Saturday, December 18.

Where: The corner of Harbor Dr. & Broadway, on the San Diego waterfront.

Why: To counter the message of radical anti-war groups who will be rallying nearby in support of Navy deserter Pablo Paredes.

How: With patriotic, pro-military messages, emphasizing the US Navy's core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

MUSTER FOR BRIEFING at the southeast corner of Harbor and Broadway no later than 1230pm Saturday. Active Duty Military Personnel: The following regulations apply to your participation in protests and rallies: Off-Post Demonstrations by Members. Members of the Armed Forces are prohibited from participating in off-post demonstrations when they are on-duty, in a foreign country, when their activities constitute a breach of law and order, when violence is likely to result, or when they are in uniform in violation of DoD Directive 1334.1. In short, you can attend most Protest Warrior events, provided that: (a) you are off duty, (b) you do not wear your uniform, (c) you attend as a private citizen, and not a representative of the military, (d) you do not make “contemptuous speech” against your superiors, including any civil or elected officials, and, (e) you do not break any laws. Remember, the UCMJ is always in effect for active duty military. Signs and flags: Bring your own if you have them. If not, we have extras – just come!
