Attempted protest to disprespect POTUS. (Major Barf Alert!)

The election is over. The fight is not.

Elections are only one part of democracy. We need to think strategically about direct action, learn from a rich history of nonviolent activism, and develop new tactics to take on this administration.

Let's start from the start: Inauguration Day.

On January 20th, 2005, we're calling for a new kind of action. The Bush administration has been successful at keeping protesters away from major events in the last few years by closing off areas around events and using questionable legal strategies to outlaw public dissent. We can use these obstacles to develop new tactics. On Inauguration day, we don't need banners, we don't need signs, we just need people.

We're calling on people to attend inauguration as they are: members of the public. Once through security and at the procession, at a given signal, we'll all turn our backs on Bush. A simple, clear and coherent message.

Yet another example of how mature respectful the Left is when it comes to the office of the President of the United States. ......oh wait! Look at their role model - Bill Clinton, Al Franken, Michael Moore, Barbara Streisand and my favorite - HowAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN EEEEEEEEEEEAAAAY!

It might not be a bad strategy for them. If Michael Moore turns his back, it just might block all of the TV cameras, etc....(sarcasm)

More liberal idiocy.

If they want to protest, it's their right, subject to "breach of the peace" ordinances and whatnot. But all they will do, assuming any appreciable amount of people show up for this, is further alienate the public from the Democrats and the left.

They don't have a program, or at least a program that the public embraces. So all they have is their silly 60s style stunts.

It's comic relief.

Good God what fools. I'm looking forward to Inauguration Day. It's going to be fun to see all the dejected, stressed out, angry looks on all the leftists in the crowd.

And oh yeah, this idea is never gonna happen. You know what they say about "opinions", and these people have a lot about Bush. Ain't no way they're going to just stand there silent and do nothing else.

That's funny, they're going to BREAK IN to pretend they DON'T WANT TO BE THERE by TURNING THEIR BACKS.

Maybe they'll have some Mercedes symbols that they think are peace signs too.

What a bunch of morons. There is one good side, though. If Michael Moore is there, no one else will be seen.

The more we let these people act like idiotd the more we will be denigrated and brouoght down to the level of the rest of the countries around the world. I don't want to see that happen to the greatest nation on the face of the planet that has ever existed.

Glad you noticed...I'm old enough to remember the 60's, and this sounds like a plan straight from a "professional hippie". The rats need a coherent plan for '08, but they can't arrive at one 'cause the conservatives are doing the right things to return America to it's founding laws and actions. All the rats can do is oppose this. IMVHO...

What scares me is just how MANY people voted for him. He shouldn't have received more than 20% . . .
