Recount activities in Ohio are in full swing! Coordinating staff are being hired on the ground in Ohio, and volunteer training will begin soon. It looks like the 88 county recounts will begin on different days, either December 14, 15 or 16. We are still looking for donations to pay for recount expenses, so please give what you can.

There was a pic of some guy who was counter-protesting the anti-war idiots who were protesting in front of some military base (I think this was the case). The counter-protester had a sign that read "Get a brain morans!". They use it as an inside joke and affirmation that they are enlightened intelligent floaty beings stuck among us troglodytic misspelling freepers.

I think a moran is that little thingamajig that fits underneath the mogronificator in your car's distributor. Either that or it's the name of a street on the north side of Chicago. Sorry, I can't remember which.

There is a thead on DUmmieland that says they are posting things here and haven't gotten caught yet. I don't know how they can post here. Every other word there is the "f" word or *#%$$^. I don't think they know any other way to communicate without using those words. They wouldn't last long here if they did.

You know, this gives me an idea. It would be easy to set up a website where you punch in someone's name and address, and it goes off and hits the FEC, gets their contribution information, and autogenerates such a letter, ready for printing and mailing. Or, for a nominal fee, it can mail it for you.
