Nasty sentiment and completely false. All are welcome who abide by the laws of the Republic. Religious proclamations and oaths are not required.
I don't expect the moon and the stars... :-)
People keep claiming that Muslims have not publicly condemned the acts of the jihadists. That is simply not true, and never has been. To see some of the public condemnations, go here:

This is the Roy-Moore-bigotry.
Catholics are not considered "Christian" by some. And Jews certainly are not.
You don't "own" this country. To treat non-Christians as second-class citizens is the most un-American thing I can think of.
Why, because that is what you want them to do? Perhaps they don't out of fear. Just because someone may be silent, it doesn't mean they think the way you believe they do.
Here are some other Quotes those fine gentlemen made:
Adams, John letter to Zabdiel Adams
June 21, 1776
Topic: Religion and Morality
Statesmen by dear Sir, may plan and speculate for Liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand....The only foundation of a free Constitution, is pure Virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our People, in a great Measure, than they have it now, They may change their Rulers, and the forms of Government, but they will not obtain a lasting Liberty.
Adams, John Address to the Military
October 11, 1798
Topic: Religion and Morality
We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.
Adams, John letter in response to Rush letter above
August 28, 1811
Topic: Religion and Morality
[R]eligion and virtue are the only foundations, not of republicanism and of all free government, but of social felicity under all government and in all the combinations of human society.
Jefferson, Thomas Westmoreland County Petition
November 2, 1785
Topic: Religion and Morality
Reading, reflection and time have convinced me that the interests of society require the observation of those moral precepts...in which all religions agree.
Paine, Thomas Common Sense
1776
Topic: Religious Liberty
The reformation was preceded by the discovery of America, as if the Almighty graciously meant to open a sanctuary to the persecuted in future years, when home should afford neither friendship nor safety.
I'm thinking this thread was an attempt to scare up some nasty elements, if possible.
I look at Islam differently because when the Quran and the hadiths are followed, people get killed or are forced to submit. When Christian bible-thumpers come after you, generally speaking, you can tell them to take a hike and they won't kill you. Also I've never known a Christian group to set off bombs or glorify martyrdom.
I would absolutely love to think that the fundamentalist Muslims who are causing the problems are just a radical few who have "hijacked" Islam, and that most Muslims are great, peaceful people. But look around the world and see what a large percentage of Muslims openly root for the terrorists and for the destruction of the USA...we're talking millions. And I fear that many here in the USA are really closet fundamentalists who could become "activated" at any time. Maybe I'm wrong.
Do you see Jesus here? I didn't think so...
They were mostly Deists and atheists... Not Christians!
Nonsense. The vast majority of Muslim Americans are no threat to you or anybody else.
They're AMERICANS!
"Those of us who are Jewish and American just marked our 350th anniversary in this country. Are we guests too?"
Apparently so, according to a few posters here. Also, you're going to HELLLLL for not believing in Jesus Christ.
Sorry and thanks for your taxes!!
[/sarcasm
"Come and try to deport this 4th generation American Jew."
As a native American deist, I'll happily defend you.
You will find some supporters, but the vast majority of us here are not in favor of deporting American citizens.
"I'm thinking this thread was an attempt to scare up some nasty elements, if possible.
"
Well, it seems to have worked.
Silence is just that, it speaks only to those that have already decided what they want to hear.
"As a native American deist, I'll happily defend you"
And, as a native-born American atheist, I'll be standing right beside you.
The funny thing is that these screams of Hell don't take into consideration the fact that Jews do not believe in Hell... :-)
How about when people follow the parts that do not advocate violence?
I do not see millions openly rooting for the terrorists....I only see what the media presents.
That, or they realized they weren't on Stormfront.com.
Pffft..I hear the 'hell' thing more times a day than I care to count.
