DUmmie FUnnies 11-16-04 AM Edition ("RECOUNT IN OHIO A SURE THING!!!")
Various DUmmies and Assorted MOrons | November 16, 2004 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 11/16/2004 5:58:37 AM PST by PJ-Comix

The DUmmies are setting themselves up for another big letdown by pinning all their hopes on the possibility that Ohio can somehow be “flipped” to Kerry. The only thing that will be flipped will be their minds when the recount merely confirms the obvious. And yet, many DUmmies are already jubilant at the prospect of an impending Kerry victory. One might understand their joy if the margin of victory was less than 10,000 but in this case Kerry is about 136,000 behind Bush. Talk about grasping at straws! The cost of the recount is $113,000 so who do you think is paying for it? The Democrats? NAW! They can read the numbers and don’t want to toss that kind of money down the tubes. Instead it is the Green Party that is financing this recount. So why would they want to waste their money since their funds are MUCH LESS than the Democrats? Simple. The Greens also know that Bush won Ohio no matter how many times they do the recount but they want to get the CREDIT for demanding and paying for the recount. This strategy is already working since many DUmmies are already mad at the Democrats for refusing to fund the recount. This could bode well for the Greens in the future at the expense of the Democrats. Check out this DUmmie THREAD about the DUmmies pinning all their hopes on an Ohio recount somehow giving the election to Kerry. As usual the pie in the sky desperate hopes of the DUmmies are in Bolshevik Red while the bemused commentary of your humble correspondent is in the [brackets]:

RECOUNT IN OHIO A SURE THING Recount is Funded!....more

[WOO! HOO! And Kerry’s inauguration is a sure thing this January! So will MTV now have an inauguration party now that the hated Bush is as sure as defeated? But let’s read more of this Green Party press release…..]

On Thursday, David Cobb, the Green Party’s 2004 presidential candidate, announced his intention to seek a recount of the vote in Ohio. Since the required fee for a statewide recount is $113,600, the only question was whether that money could be raised in time to meet the filing deadline. That question has been answered.

[$113, 600? That is chump change for the Democrats who already raised $30 million for just such recounts. So why didn’t they shell out the dough?]

“Thanks to the thousands of people who have contributed to this effort, we can say with certainty that there will be a recount in Ohio,” said Blair Bobier, Media Director for the Cobb-LaMarche campaign.

[Hmm….I guess the Democrats didn’t want to blow that dough on a lost cause. Besides, $113,000 would be just enough to pay for Terry McAwful’s stereo system in his DNC headquarters office. But let us now read the DUmmie reaction to this news…..]

where is the Democratic Party-- the only party who stands to gain...and the opposition party with the largest fiscal resources? Why are Nader and Cobb/LaMarche the only ones trying to protect democracy (in the sense of being willing to demand and FUND recounts)? I certainly hope the Democrats remember this in the future!

[The Democrats have better things to do with their money than blow it on lost causes. Besides Terry McAwful’s DNC office needs more funding for his gold-plated fixtures.]

they deserve our everlasting gratitude

[But don’t worry. When the Greens ask for your vote in the next presidential election, you’ll probably go crawling back to the Democrats like a lap dog.]

This is the best of all possible scenarios. The recount happens, but the Democrats keep their hands free of desperation and crybaby-jeers. This way we get to find the truth, and the Dems' reputation (outside hard-liberal circles) doesn't get tarnished.

[Try checking out the posts of your fellow DUmmies. The Democrats’ reputation is already tarnished for being too CHEAP to blow relative chump change on a lost cause. The Greens will get the credit for this. Oh, and the best of all possible scenarios for you would be if Kerry actually WON Ohio instead of Bush.]

yeah, but it really pisses me off-- dems would not even do...lip service for the progressive agenda during the campaign, but now they "need proper attack dogs." I'm proud of Nader and the Greens. I just wish the DNC wouldn't absorb all the campaign money and media focus, but leave the political heavy lifting to others.

[Have you received your Terry McAwful fundraising letter yet? He needs money to more properly furnish his luxurious DNC office. HDTV doesn’t come cheap, you know.]

Contact the DNC and sound off! If they do not fight this real hard, there might be a mass exodus.

[And this DUmmie’s post explains the reason why the Greens purposely blew $113,000 on a Lost Cause recount. They will get the credit for making the effort at the expense of the Democrats.]

We have Randi!

[We have Randi’s crack pipe!]

Contact the DNC and ask them. ...I am still awaiting a reply..I know that I am going to remember who stepped up to the plate and who went AWOL. I have been a lifelong Democrat, but if they don't come out fighting soon, I will look for a party that will.

[“Dear Dummie---We appreciate your letter requesting that the DNC pay for an Ohio recount. Unfortunately, even though we have $30 million set aside for such recounts we have many new expenses to consider. The chairman of the DNC needs much of those funds to pay for his private jet travels around the country so that he may more easily raise funds. And on that subject, we would appreciate any financial contribution you can make to the DNC. Thank You.”]

the Dems have to consider how the media will treat them. They still have their lawyers on the case.

[Yes. The Dem lawyers are assiduously watching the Ohio recount on the Internet from their comfy computer chairs.]

When the next election rolls around, I'm sure we'll hear the same old "we can't afford you, Greens" bullshit.

[Absolutely! Any DUmmie posting support of Green candidates in the next election will be accused by Skinner of being a divider.]

Maybe this is what Kerry did with the leftover Money!!! Rather than take it upon himself to stick his neck out and demand a recount, which the media would waste no time in lopping it right off, Kerry quietly moved the excess funds to the Green Party.

[Dream on! The notoriously tight-fisted Kerry is more likely to spend that money on an Aspen snow boarding vacation.]

GOD BLESS THE GREEN PARTY!! Cobb is now my Hero.

[SNIFF! How quickly they forget Kerry!]

We have enough votes if the DNC will just fight for us. If they don't we are going to have some kind of ocracy that is not a democracy anyway. I am a lifelong democrat, but I an not liking what I see now.

[Don’t even think of touching that $30 million Democrat recount fund. You don’t actually think they will spend it on recounts? Let the Greens foot the bill. Terry McAwful’s office needs that money for new marble walls.]

This is absolutely the only possible way for the election to change. Damn, would the Freepers be pissed if the Green Party wins this thing for Kerry!

[Yeah, and after that happens I’ll start believing that there really is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.]

If the recount is done I will contribute as I am able to for the next 2 years at least to the Green Party and I will be FOREVER grateful to them.

[Again we see the REAL reason for the Green recount in Ohio. They know they can’t change the results but it is great PR.]

this is MAJOR. What happens if voter fraud is revealed and/or votes were otherwise improperly counted and Kerry wins Ohio. That means he would win the Presdency - a concession is not legally binding, is it? Would he get back in the ring?

[What happens if Tinker Bell drops Pixie Dust on your tiny little head?]

THIS COULD CHANGE EVERYTHING - MAKE HISTORY!

[And in your case, Tinker Bell dropped Angel Dust on your tiny little head.]

Maybe we should change the name of Ohio to Ozhio because the DUmmies are obviously living out a fantasy if they think the recount will flip that state. However, it is GREAT FUN to see the DUmmies PROLONG their election agony over such a recount. December 20, when the Electoral College votes for Bush will be a painful day for them. To watch the DUmmies' painful but funny agony on a regular basis, let me know if you want on the DUmmie FUnnies PING List if you are not already on it.

On what grounds are the Watermelons (green on the outside, red on the inside) basing their recount efforts? How do they think they can turn the Ohio election around when Bush won by ~150K?

They really are stupid. Wouldn't Soros be writing checks as fast as he could if there was anything at all to this recount thing. I guess they didn't think of that.

The cost of the recount is $113,000

I'll do it for only $90,000.

We have a radio host named Tony Trupiano here in Detroit. While waiting for my daughter to come out of CCD, I heard the Green party rep talking about this on that show. They are talking about the exit polls and the number of registered voters compared to the number of votes. Mostly about Franklin County (Columbus, I think).
This is looking to be another FLA where they only count certain counties.

How insane do you have to be to think a recount is going to change a 130,000 vote difference?

I've got an idea on how to drive the DUmmies even more nuts.

Start a rumor over at DU that since Bush was not really "elected" in 2000, but was merely "selected", he is Constitutionally permitted to run again on '08-- and plans to do so.

That group (DU'ers) is hopeless. Bush is more likely to pick additional votes than the not so Swift guy.

From the Green point of view not so insane. They already know it is a lost cause. However, by blowing the money on this lost cause they also gain the support of a lot of DUmmie types who are angry that the Democrats don't want to waste their money on this effort. This whole thing is nothing more than a PR stunt by the Greens and it is WORKING!!!

Actually I live in Ohio and I started to call it O-ut-O...for sometime before the election. I hope the Greens carry this out as a strategy to gain a larger share of the DemoRAT vote and uncover voter fraud on the behalf of the Dem's to boot........however, I'm sure that's just a pipe dream of mine. The Greens will be looking to propagandize against the Right in this effort to do to the Republicans what the Democrats in Ohio couldn't do to further legitimize themselves with the nutty left wing.

P.S. Have you been threatened by The leader of DU....lately?....and have you had Green Tea with his lawyers yet?......... LOL.

They are talking about the exit polls...

Stop right there. If they're basing their recount effort on a bogus poll then they'd better be prepared for disappointment. These people are hopeless. It's one thing to rant, rave and spin wild conspiracy theories on an internet bulletin board; it's quite another to hand over your food stamps to some shyster promising to overturn a decisive election win.

It looks like this is yet ANOTHER DUmmie thread I have killed by featuring it in the DUmmie FUnnies. Every time I feature a DUmmie thread, it DIES almost immediately. Whenever I audition prospective DUmmie Threads to feature in the DUmmie FUnnies I am always aware that I will be murdering them if they are chosen. This is an awesome responsibility. I have the death of many DUmmie threads on my conscience.
