DUmmie FUnnies 11-15-04 AM Edtion ("I feel so disheartened I want to leave the US")
Various DUmmies and Assorted MOrons | November 15, 2004 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 11/15/2004 5:35:50 AM PST by PJ-Comix

Here is an opportunity for an enterprising Freeper out there---Set up a travel service to facilitate the EXIT of demoralized DUmmies out of the country. Perhaps call it DUmmies In Despair Travel Service. I would recommend that you give the DUmmies extremely low rates to leave the country but with one important catch---they must NEVER return. As you can see by this thread you would have PLENTY of customers. Apparently even the DUmmies are beginning to see that the Randi Rhodes’ Black Box Voting Conspiracy is going NOWHERE. The fascist Bush Regime along with the enhanced Republican strength in Congress are HERE TO STAY. Therefore their only option left is to LEAVE. Read and laugh at this Drama Queen DUmmie THREAD about how gloom and despair has taken over in Dummieland due in large part to a phantom draft. As usual the gloomy sanity challenged rantings of the DUmmies are in Bolshevik Red while your humble correspondent, urging them to leave the country from the sidelines, are in the [brackets]:

I feel so disheartened I want to leave the US.

[You will be even more disheartened, DUmmie bluedeminredstate, after you read the morning edition of the Nov. 15 DUmmie FUnnies.]

Is this totally wimpy? I have a 12 y.o. son who I will never allow to be cannon fodder for this debacle, and until our elections are fair and open with a system to check the results, I don't see a change. I thought having a plan in place was a good idea if I had to remove my kid from their clutches, but now I feel like there's no reason to stay - these bastards seem to have it locked up for the forseeable future.

[Yes. Karl Rove has all the Diebold voting machines preset to the Fascist mode so you have NO CHANCE at the ballot boxes in the future. So LEAVE NOW!!!]

Is the wound just too fresh to think clearly?

[DUmmies NEVER think clearly so don’t let that stop you from leaving.]

I regret that you can not teach your kids to love their country and want to defend her.

[Perhaps not but you’ve done and EXCELLENT job of trying to teach your kids to HATE the USA.]

I need to convince my husband we need to go NOW! He is in denial...

[De Nile is a great place to go to. Far away from the USA. Join your husband in De Nile and stay there PERMANENTLY.]

Two place stick out for us so far - Ireland and Scotland. Scotland wants immigrants, and the English language thing is helpful in both countries. Plus neither has pissed off our enemy that I know of.

[Well, we wouldn’t want to piss off our enemy. Al Qaeda and their fellow terrorists need to have warm fuzzy feelings about us.]

how about NZ? they have relaxed their entry requirements very recently. You should check it out!

[Yes, go to New Zealand. And I hope a Hobbit bites you in Uranus.]

The economy in the UK is quite strong so we're going to get screwed on the exchange rate (in today's business section it said $1.84 = 1 pound sterling). But we feel that it's worth it. Not only because of how we feel about the direction of the country, but we know our daughter will receive a better education in the UK than she will in Arkansas.

[Blame Bill Clinton for the lousy education system in Arkansas. He was the governor there for about a dozen years.]

And where is ultimately safe from the neocons? I'd say another planet. But if you can get there, so can they.

[Try going to Uranus.]

The best things liberal could do if a draft is inevitably reinstituted is to assist those who want to getout to get away from it to do so with financial support, making sure that only those who ipposed this regime were assisted.

[Great scam there, hotshot! Collect money to flee a draft that will never happen.]

My daugter still lives inside the US, and will reach draft age this time round. I'm prepared to airlift her out and offer her refuge if such be needed by her cannon fodder years. As well, there is little point in paying any taxes to this bunch of criminal crackpots. Being abroad is a way for a conscience to sleep at night in this regard.

[Anyone get the feeling that the DUmmies really LOVE the nonexistent phantom Draft that will never be? It allows them to feel like victims. But on the upside it will give them the excuse to LEAVE the USA.]

I love my country but I happen to love my Daughter more. If it comes down to it we will leave here. Mexico, Canada or where ever. She will not fight Bushes war in Iraq.

[I also think you love the nonexistent Draft. I allows you to express your massive drama queen talent.]

At what point do you decide that you have to flee or fight. I am a pacifist and I would rather flee to Canada that shoot my neighbor. It makes me very sad that I have to contemplate such issues.

[Not bad. Please return to the Drama Queen Auditions tomorrow for another tryout.]

will leave when it becomes apparent that my daughter will be drafted. She is not yet draft age, but will be in a few years, by then we should know the score, otherwise I'm staying right here to see the bastards out

[The Bush Regime plans to secretly lower the draft age and impress your daughter into the Army Rangers right from high school so don’t take any chances. LEAVE NOW!!!]

If indeed many of us plan to leave (as I am), we should not leave quietly. We need to remind those who are in power that the consequence of their dominance is that they will lose the best and brightest of Americans to other, more democratic nations... The fact remains that conservatives need the "liberal elites" more than vice-versa.

[Earth to Nurselefty! We DON’T need you. LEAVE NOW!!!]

Many of us managed to avoid the draft in the sixties legally and without moving to Canada. I turned 18 in 1968 and by creative thinking I managed to stay out of the service until the lottery came along and gave me a reprieve. Running away, like war, should be your last option.

[That sex change operation was a great example of the creative thinking that kept you out of the draft.]

like what way would I keep her out of the draft. There will be no college deferments. I don't think a pregnancy would be the answer. Conscientious objector, maybe. Any ideas

[Yeah. Maybe, just maybe, there WON’T be a draft. But don’t let that stop you from going abroad. LEAVE NOW!!!]

In the underground railroad, some people do Schindler's job, others are at the other end. Lifting someone out, can be easier than sending someone out.

[WOW! I think we have a DUmmie Drama Queen Award winner here!]

Sticking together didn't get these war criminals out of the WH and the deck is stacked against us.

[Yes. The Diebold voting machines are permanently set to the Fascist mode. So the deck IS stacked against you. LEAVE NOW!!!]

OT: Has Skinnerhead said anything more to you?

We found out it wasn't Skinner. It was only "Skinner."

What restrictions are there under British law?

The law here in actually couched in terms of permission being the exception rather than restriction. That is, abortion was made legal under certain circumstances by the Abortion Act 1967. In all cases two doctors need to certify the need for the abortion (in reality this is easy to attain due to the high number of pro-abortion doctors); before 24 weeks abortion in available if there "risk of injury to her [the mother] or her existing children's physical or mental health" - mental health has been very widely applied as so de facto until 24 weeks there is abortion on demand. After 24 weeks abortion can be provided if there is a threat to the mother's life, or in cases of severe disability on the child's part.

Recently there has been much talk of reducing the 24 week time period; in 1967 it was set at 27 weeks, this fell to 24 in 1990. Advances in neo-natal technology and ultra-sounding techniques which have moved feotal viability earlier, and shown clearly the humanity of the child at an early stage (respectively) have lead to the latest talk.

As we don't have judge-made law, all of these decision have been made as conscious acts by Parliament. By tradition moral issues are unwhipped (that is each Member of Parliament makes his/her own mind up) and there are significant pro-life campaigners in all parties, though there is probably more pro-life sentiment in the Tory Party.

Is "The Stranger" online?

Yep! www.thestranger.com

You'll need to take a bath after you read it.

Where do these people come up with these ideas. Tinfoil hat is an understatement. Oh well, if these idiots leave, the country will be better off.

George W. Bush "ONLY" got 51% of the vote?

Yep. "Only". Here in Seattle, Republicans must get a supermajority before their win is acknowledged, but a Democrat can get 40% and it's a landslide.

I'm confused, but that's common. Was it somebody pretending to be Skinner?

Sorry about this brief interruption, but I never learned how to create a "vanity" on FreeRepublic, and besides it is a small matter anyway.

I just went to the dummieunderground, and noticed their fund-raising drive is going on now.

HOWEVER, they are listing only the number of paying members (their goal is 1,000), and not the amount of cash they are raising.....unlike most reputable organizations, including even unreputable ones such as National Public Radio.

They are just giving the number of contributing members, but no dollar amount.

Since their donations can vary from "$1 to $100," and with 366 paying members enrolled the last time I checked, either they have raised $366 or $36,600, or somewhere in between.

Is this not, uh, somewhat disingenous, somewhat specious? After all, are not these the same people who demand "accountability" on the part of George Bush and Republicans in general?

And don't forget, Ireland is as socially liberal as the rest of Europe. No intolerant Christians there!

I'm thinking it's impossible for the left to NOT be hypocrites.

I'm still looking for a pro-life member of PETA.

Loved it! Kind of reminds me of that "Parachutes for Peaceniks" joke email that came out after 9/11.
(Did anybody else see that? Lost it with my email archive in a 'puter crash, but if it's on my work PC will post.)
Finally, some common ground between FReepers and DUmmies- they want to leave the USA, and we want them gone!

My only child, a beautiful, intelligent nine-year-old girl, is talking about enlisting (at 18) to fly Apache helicopters in combat. It tears me up to think of my little girl getting killed, but we taught her the price of freedom.
She understands what 9/11 meant. She hates Bin Laden and his followers with a righteous anger, and would love to have him in her sights with her great-great-uncle's Springfield model 1898 that he carried honorably in the trenches of WWI. That gun has killed America's enemies, killed deer for food, and rests in a place of honor waiting until called on again to do either one.

We need to support this cause!!
I think the Air Force has some surplus C-141 Starlifters just sitting out in the desert. They had to ground them for some kind of airworthiness thingamabob- some silliness about fatigue cracking in the wing structure- but I'm sure we could get authorization to use them for this worthy cause!

And don't forget the Argyll and Sutherland militia, who just received honors from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. They even made a bayonet charge against a stubborn terrorist position!
(Of course, as a member of Clan Scott I have mixed feelings about this. Sassenachs and Campbells die in Iraq; I'm sad, I'm happy. . .)
;-)

Good point--imagine how many Americans they could have insured with that money too-seeing how they are always blabbing about national healthcare.

(Chortle-snort!)

Go on. Take your whole little brain trust and form your own Galt's Gulch. If you don't all kill each other before you starve to death, maybe you can persuade Uncle Fidel to be your Exalted Leader.
