The Catholics hold to replacement theology yes, and in general they believe the church (their meaning of "church" is the visible RCC) has authority over the Bible as doctrine, i.e. whatever historically the Catholic church believes determines what particular passage of the whole Bible is to be understood.
I know our stand is very much a minority here - there are perhaps fewer than 10 pre-trib Christians active on FR. I would be more comfortable to dicuss this on a Christian forum.

I would think that believers in replacement theology would go out of their way to show that they are not anti-Semites by daming terrorists.
Pope John Paul II has an illustrious history. I will attribute the remark to frailty of age.

Replacement theology is not something I believe in since it is NOT Biblically correct.
