Personally, I was hoping for something with a little more "punch" to it, if you know what I mean. Then again, it was probably the best I was going to do in a place like Union Square.
Unfortunately, I wound up losing one of my favorite buttons-I purchased it at a hotel housing GOP conventioneers back in August-which had a pro-family/marriage message.
One of these obnoxious protestors-basically, this was an irritating woman dressed up like a prostitute and sporting a gigantic, inflatable silver phallus-who was under the mistaken impression that she was actually witty and intelligent-snatched it out of my hands while I was engrossed in a heated discussion with one of the other members of her troupe.
Aside from that particular incident, I pretty much enjoyed the week I spent sparring with these anti-Bush nimrods. It definitely steeled me for the next couple of months, as their sense of sanity became inversely proportional to their ability to reason.
