What the Presidential Election of 2004 Means

The failure of so many pundits, pols and pollsters to predict the outcome of this presidential election makes me want to take a stab at punditry myself. I won’t claim that I predicted this outcome, but I can honestly say it is exactly the outcome I prayed for.

What the Presidential Election of 2004 Means

The failure of so many pundits, pols and pollsters to predict the outcome of this presidential election makes me want to take a stab at punditry myself. I won’t claim to have predicted this outcome, but I can honestly say it is exactly the outcome I prayed for.

The American people have spoken in a loud, unambiguous voice, saying we will not be dragged into the abyss of secular humanism’s moral relativism by a band of leftist extremists.

The results of this election say we are tired of the tyranny of activist judges legislating from the bench, making a mockery of the checks and balances put in place by our nations founders. It means we want Congress to start exercising their responsibility to defend The Republic by impeaching those judges who arrogantly overstep the bounds of their authority.

With 20 million voters in 11 states, including Oregon of all places, passing by a 2 to 1 margin, amendments to their state constitutions defining marriage as being between 1 man and 1 woman, this election clearly says we will not allow a handful of activists to tamper with the very foundations of our civilization. To the activists it says, we don't care what you do in the privacy of your home but you cannot demand our tolerance of your cause while you act with absolute disdain and intolerance of ours.

This election says plain old American folks are fed up with being made to feel like strangers in their own land. It says we want Congress to stop the invasion of illegal aliens into our nation. We want our borders closed and existing immigration laws enforced. Granting amnesty to those who enter our country illegally makes a mockery of the rule of law and fuels a growing sense of cynicism.

This election says Americans are intelligent enough to know there is a crisis looming in Social Security and that it must be addressed. Now! It said clearly that those elected officials who demonstrate the courage it takes to address difficult issues candidly will have their courage rewarded.

To the globalists, this election says we cherish our national sovereignty and attempts to perform an end run around it will be rejected. We don't care if France or Germany or the corrupt United Nations approve of our policies. We refuse to allow you to subvert our national interests to your misguided dream of a One World Order.

To our representatives in Congress, this election says there is no safe haven in incumbency. Stop acting like poll lemmings and start acting like leaders. You were sent to Washington to protect the interests of all Americans, not just the special interest groups with the deepest pockets.

And no doubt about it, this election says “HEY OSAMA !!! YOU WANT A PIECE OF THIS”!!!

We voted against Kerry because he's a dork. It just came out that he met with VC "terrorists" (Kerry's word) while a naval officer. He negotiated with them then and he would negotiate with them now. On the domestic side... one word... abortion. America writes sKerry a "dear John" letter. :-)

"This election says plain old American folks are fed up with being made to feel like strangers in their own land."

...and my hope is that it has given us renewed strength and hope for the battles ahead.
