Well I became a Freeper yesterday and had never heard of the DUmmys until then. Out of curiosity I've been checking it out. Yikes!!!! Their current thread on the various theories of a stolen 2004 election, massive and systematic fraud in the electronic voting systems, plans of Kerry lying low to lull the Repulicans to sleep then jumping back in with challenges prior to Electoral college certification, etc, borders on psychotic.
The unmitigated hatred and rage of these people causes me great concern. I've always thought of the current national divide in political and cultural terms. However, I can see where this might actually erupt into large scale violence bordering on a civil war.
Of course I would never hope for such an occurence but if the far left wing nuts of the Democratic party intend on inciting violence, they better start rethinking their attitude about gun ownership and the 2nd Amendment. As it stands now, the Republicans would be the only ones with the guns. What could the DUmmys throw at us? A Birkenstock and a tattered copy of Mao's Little Red Book?
Contrary to DUmmie opinion, Bush doesn't even have a couple of million dollars and if they weren't so stupid, his tax records are public. Hes worth around 35 million. Kerry's wife is worth 600 million.
At one time, this place used to be a news forum. Now, everybody that wants to posts a vanity. Anyway, if I was too harsh, I'm sorry. G'night.

If I'm not mistaken, we were all new here at one time. My first day, (1/26/04), someone welcomed me to Free Republic and I felt like I had come home. I have never posted but I enjoy reading and responding to posts whether they are from newbies or veteran freepers.

Some of us have known for quite some time that many in the far left are nothing more than anarchist thugs intent on overthrowing the government and that they are not above violence to do so. In fact, many of them advocate it. DU isn't the only place you can find them, but it is a favorite here to quote.

Earned the right? A newbie posting stupid vanities? Well I guess the Democrats don't have the corner on elitism and condescension after all. Based on my first readings thus far I had the impression the FR was a fairly respectful community of people exchanging news, views and commentary, whether derived from news sources or personal observations. In fact I've seen a number of posts commenting on the ravings over at DU and I don't recall any of them getting slammed. I spent 26 years in uniform defending this nation and earning all the rights I ever need. The rest of you can go pound sand.

An "old timer" should start a vanity complaining about all of the newbie vanities;especially the ones posted to News/activism!
