There has been a lot of talk over the past thirty six hours about the disconnect between exit polls and the actual count of ballots. Many Bloggers have been quick to criticize the mainstream media for screwing up yet again, and as is so often the case the media has been quick to pass the blame back on us. Until recently the mainstream media has been allowed to operate with out supervision, reporting their polished version of the news. That era has ended and now those news sources are resentful that they now have to answer to the public the same way politicians do.

I don't think the media screwed up. I think it was completely intentional.
Note to Media:
Next election, don't hire any companies to do exit polls, and don't report results until they actually start coming in! DUH!
It's human nature to want to be on the winning side, so those who haven't been able to come to a decision will often let the majority make that decision for them.
Besides, pollsters had better come to realize that more and more people are LYING when they answer the questions.
