*****How do I tell him to Love His Country ever again****
Just like this; "Love your country". Seems simple to me. I would still love my country if Bush hadn't won. The president doesn't make the country great. The country makes great presidents.
Hey man, smoke two reefers and call Daschle in the morning.
Damn it all! I just went back to DU to see if any of them were out on a ledge threatening to jump and learned that they've blocked the site again to non-registered lurkers. I need a crazed, Dem meltdown fix!
True, and my libertarian philosophy is pretty much out of the mainstream at FR (at least during a 'pubbie administration), but I've been around here for years without being banned.
Just wondering if anyone knew if the DU'ers had a way of identifying freepers, that's all.
I haven't posted there in a long time. When I did, it wasn't anything nasty. Remember, libertarians have a lot of common ground with liberals on social issues. We may not like many of the behaviors they advocate (and like to throw in your face), but "there ought to be a law..." is something you don't hear from a libertarian very often when discussing personal behavior and conduct.
I have seen in the past that DU'ers use a lot of vulgar language, they make a lot of threats, they're pretty quick to stamp out (ban) dissenting opinion, and from what I saw in the last few days, they'll be passing out the cyanide-flavored kool-aide pretty soon.
There have been times here when it gets so partisan (republican) that I've gone off to places like DU to get my "fix" of political discussion and debate, but, in my (kind of) neutral opinion, freepers make a much better class of people to debate with.
