After a significant delay due to an error on the distrubtor's part, Volume V of the Dragon's Fury Series of novels, Eagle's Talons, is now fully available in printed format at the vairous outlets.

This includes, Amazon --- Barnes & Noble --- Powells --- BooksAMillion.

Thanks to all for your patience, encouragement and support.

Now...let's all get out there and vote, communicate, educate, urge, and inform so we can avoid the tragedy of a Kerry presidency, something that would make the horrors described in the initial volumes of the Dragon's Fury Series (before we come back), a much more likely possibility in real life.

THE DRAGON'S FURY SERIES OF NOVELS

I appreciate your hard work and the subject you write about...

but $20 for a book is outrageous.

Considering I get 4 unabridged books on computer (Audible.com) for $20 a month (Grandfathered membership -- I think new deal is 2 for $20), $20 for one book is too much.

I wish you well, but the publishing industry has simply gotten out of control (almost $10 for a paperback nowadays).

I just started your first one ... very cool.

Congratulations and best wishes on your continued success.

You're a bit of an inspiration to all us "maybe someday wannabe" authors out there, you know. :)

You are very welcome. I began writing these almost a year before 911 specifically to call attention to how so many liberal policies could lead to a very bad geo-political situation.

Sadly, a Kerry presidency could make things far worse than I imagined. We must do all we can...up until the very final hours, to influence our fellow countrymen and women to keep that from happening.

Best Fregards.

Jeff Head BTT.

So what was the distributor's problem, the fact that the cover was mis-labeled "My Life?"

Well, I am not a part of the "publishing" industry. These are self-published and the fact that the volumes are low drives the price up for self-publishers significantly.

I wish it were different. These are trade paperback format (meaning they are the hardback size) and those do sell for quite a bit more than the small paperbacks anyway (usually 14.99 to 22.99 or so).

Anyhow, if the series takes off and gets a major publisher some day, the pricing will come down significantly for a mass produced paperback.

Thanks for the input.

Jeff, this is quite a feat you have undertaken. I admire you. Nothing is impossible today in this world of ours. Techno could be the next step to how the world is going to react if it is turned over to the wrong hand.

Thanks again, Jeff! Keep up the great work!

Hmm. Why not record them and sell via audible??? That would give you a good earning (since you self publish) with zero distribution cost.

Lots of work and midnight oil. Working a full time job...having a large family...working in church and Boy Scouts...I have to tell you the last three and a half years has kept me living short on shut-eye.

But it has been a great experience and well worth it. With companies like LightningSource, there's no reason an individual who is motivated to publish cannot do so.

Great! You are in for a real treat. IMHO, the series just gets better and better in terms of action, characterization, story line and intrigue.

Will be a while before I can get it, have the rest in ebook form and read them all again last month. Getting married, moving, buying house, etc and so on have hindered my reading habits, library is my best friend at the moment...

Will DL it from amazon when I can.

Their parent company, Ingram, who actually makes all of the connections to the retailers, simply got it messed up in the pipeline. either in how it was listed, where it was listed...or even if it got listed properly. They've got it fixed now.

I have no real complaints, they have done well in the past and this is the only real hiccup they have had. Now, in the past, the retailers have on several occassions underestimated the immediate demand and that also led to some delays on their part.

Good idea. To date there has simply been no time. I have had several requests.

Now that the writing is over, perhaps that can be arranged...but I was looking forward to some actual real time in the evenings! LOL!

Getting married

Absolute congratulations! Don't worry about my series at all...you have the entire world at your fingertips and a lot more on your plate.

God's best to you and your intended!

Like many here, I love to listen to books via audible.com. If I can't get them there, I download them to my Mac and read them on my Palm, but I do not use the PC stuff, and have no interest in getting them that way...

See if you can make a deal with either of those providers for us who are hooked on the new technology.

Awesome news! Just ordered Vol V, can't wait to read/review it. I've turned family/friends on to the series (which reminds me, there's a couple volumes I need to get back). So many of the scenarios that seemed far-fetched at first, proved to be remarkably prescient, and are made plausible by current events.

Someone on another thread suggested that you run for office, you definitely have my vote! Sounds like your plate is full though. Right now all I can think of is going to the polls tomorrow morning to vote for our great president again. Go W!! Four more years!!!

Well, I did my best to wait for the paperback but I finally was forced to break down and buy the ebook.

To all freepers who haven't tried the series I can only say..

WHY NOT? :)

Kudos on Vol.5 btw, best one of the series IMHO.
