A lot of people have been emailing, fremailing and otherwise contacting me regarding the scarce availability of the printed version of Volume V of the Dragon's Fury Series of novels, which is a techno-thriller about how current conditions lead to World War.
Here is a special from the official web site regarding the same:
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THE AVAILABILITY OF THE PRINTED VERSION OF VOLUME V
October 22, 2004
Just a quick update on the availability of the trade paperback version (printed version) of Volume V. I am very sorry for the ongoing delay. For some reason, the distributor has had real problems setting up Volume V in the distribution channel. Amazon, Barnes & Nopble, Powells and other sites are having trouble getting the information set up for order. I am actively working the distributor to fix this.
Right now, only one place has been able to work through the resulting difficulties and this is is a company, The BookDepositoryUK, in the UK. Amazon has linked to them...but ordering through them ends up costing more money because of the UK rate and paying for shipping from the UK. Some customers are buying through them anyway just to get the book as soon as they can. Here's that link on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/offer-listing/0974761036/ref=dp_pb_a//102-3376327-3736113?condition=new
Customers might consider emailing/contacting Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Powells (depending on where you shop) and have them put more pressure on LightningSource and Ingram who are the ones distributing the books..
I expect this to get cleared up in any case within the next week to ten days and will announce it on the main site and on the FreeRepublic forum.
Thanks for your loyalty to the series and for your patience. I know you will really enjoy this last volume when you get it.
Sincerely,
Jeff Head

Outstanding! I know you will really like it. Please let me know what you think and, if you have are so disposed, review the book here and/or on Amazon.
Great poem...one of those that makes folks stop and think before they knee-jerk.
We could do so and woth new technologies for exploiting old wells, and the use of Nuclear Power plants and other alternatives, I believe we could be energy self-sufficient within five to ten years. We should have done this on 9-12.

Weird News
Theft suspects went back to nab parrot
Associated Press
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Afraid a talkative parrot might prove to be a stool pigeon, three thieves returned to the scene of the crime to silence the bird - only to be caught by police, authorities say.
After making off with DVD players, computers, radios, TVs and other electronic gear, one of the burglars Monday realized that a parrot in the home had heard him use the nickname "J.J." for one of his accomplices and was repeating it.
"They were afraid the bird would stool on them," police Maj. Billy Garrett said.
They went back for the bird and were loading it into the getaway car when police arrived, authorities said. The chase ended a few blocks away when the men crashed their car.
The light-green parrot, a 6-year-old bird named Marshmallow, flew away when its cage broke open in the crash. Felicia Cobb and her children have not seen their pet since then.
Three men, ages 18 to 25, were arrested.
In the Dragon's Fury Series, I do...among quite a few other things like outsourcing, immigration, abortion, 2nd amendment, etc., etc.
Well, all good things are worth waiting for.

Amazon and Powells should follow in the next few days.
Thanks for the update. We can wait a few days for Amazon.
Good rain and cool weather here...about 40. Into the mid-thirties tonight, snow level below 5000.
Hope all is well with you and yours my friend.
Temps are dipping to freezing at night, and first snow should start this weekend. The last three weekends we've had rain. The elk seem to have gone higher, and I'm afraid I might have to leave the yard to get one.
LOL! Gotta love it!
Great news Jeff...My best to you.

For you Tom, if you are out there.
