We have reported several times on John Kerry's odd obsession with conveying the impression that he is a sportsman. Among other things, whenever he finds himself on a runway at an airport he breaks out a football or baseball for an "impromptu" game of catch. Hardly a day goes by without the release of photos of Kerry playing tarmac sports for an audience of photographers and reporters.
Remember Kerry's famous errant first pitch at Fenway, which he blamed on a nervous Guardsman? I guess Vanessa must have been nervous too. Here she is, chasing her father's wild pitch:
