A few weeks ago I was having lunch with a friend of mine and his wife. She was pressuring me about when *I* was going to get married, and the conversation turned to what I thought was important to make a successful match. There are the three qualifications I gave her, but the only one she balked at was "Conservative." At first she thought I meant a member of the Conservative stream of Judaism, but I clarified that as conservative politically. She said, "Well, if that's something you think is important. I mean, I think that [her husband, my friend] is more Conservative than me."
Here is the example she gave:
"Every time he watches the coverage of the Scott Peterson trial he says 'fry him!' whereas I think everyone deserves a fair trial." ...

In your story, conservatives are considered to be violent, "kill him" while liberals are "all about justice" I beg to differ, liberals say conservatives are "haters" and greedy. A conservative view says Liberals are haters. Here`s how, a man, a politician, says to a liberal, "you don`t have as much as that guy, why is that fair? It`s not fair. So, if you vote for me, I`ll see to it that someone goes over to his house and takes his stuff and gives it to you. The liberal says to himself, yeah, I hate that guy, he`s so greedy, why should he have all that stuff, when I got nuthin`? Okay, Mr. Politician, here`s my vote, now go get "MY" stuff! The politician has instilled class hatred in the less fortunate, saying "that`s not fair!" Why not? If the person who is better off than the other guy through hard work and application of knowledge, he deserves to be better off. The conservative can see through the B.S. to see that Scott Peterson is more than likely guilty. Why does it seem, from the average American`s perspective, that one`s political affiliation is directly correlated to their intelligence? Those who "can", do, those who "can`t" want the government to do it for them?
