I WILL NEVER SAY IT

SOME FOLKS HAVE OPINIONED THAT THIS CAMPAIGN’S RATHER LOW
AND CAROUSING IN THE GUTTER, WHERE I WOULD NEVER GO
I’D LIKE TO MAKE A PLEDGE AND I MAKE IT HERE TODAY
THESE ARE JUST SOME OF THE THINGS THAT I WOULD NEVER SAY
I’D NEVER SAY HE’S ARROGANT OR LACKS THE COMMON TOUCH
HOW COULD HE BE; HE HANGS OUT WITH THOSE BUCKEYE FANS SO MUCH
THAT IS A SLANDER THAT I WILL NEVER SAY
AND BESIDES, HE MADE ANOTHER SPEECH AT LAMBERT FIELD TODAY
I WOULD NEVER SAY THE MAN IS NOT A CONNOISSEUR
IMPLYING THAT HIS PALETTE IS ANYTHING BUT PURE
THAT IS AN ARENA WHERE I WILL NEVER GO
THOUGH I HAVE IT FROM A SOMMELIER, HE DRINKS SECOND RATE MERLOT
I WOULD NEVER SAY THAT HE WOULD SAY ANYTHING TO WIN
WHY, TO GIVE THAT THOUGHT EXPRESSION WOULD BE A MORAL SIN
THAT IS A LEVEL TO WHICH I WILL NEVER DROP
AND I TAKE HIM AT HIS WORD—BE IT FLIP OR FLOP
I WON’T SAY HE COMFORTED THE ENEMY OR ADVOCATES RETREAT
YES, THERE ARE JUST SOME ACCUSATIONS THAT I WILL NOT REPEAT
AND I STAND BY MY CONVICTIONS EVEN IF IT MEANS DEFEAT
BUT I DON’T THINK IT COMES TO THAT
NO, HERE’S WHAT I SUSPECT
THE ONE NAME I’LL NEVER CALL JOHN KERRY
IS MR. PRESIDENT-ELECT.

A quick "change case" in word makes it a lot easier on the eyes...
Some folks have opined that this campaign’s rather low
And carousing in the gutter, where I would never go
I’d like to make a pledge and I make it here today
These are just some of the things that I would never say
I’d never say he’s arrogant or lacks the common touch
How could he be; he hangs out with those buckeye fans so much
That is a slander that I will never say
And besides, he made another speech at lambert field today
I would never say the man is not a connoisseur
Implying that his palette is anything but pure
That is an arena where I will never go
Though I have it from a sommelier, he drinks second rate merlot
I would never say that he would say anything to win
Why, to give that thought expression would be a moral sin
