Perhaps it has escaped your notice that this employee ASKED to come back to work with him. Sounds EXACTLY like Anita Hill to me.

I will extend Mr. O'reilly the same benefit of doubt that he extended the Swift Boat Vets, but I'm sure he'll understand that I can't say who I'd vote for until the trial.

I don't like O'Reilly, but I'm much inclined to side with him. The charges sound fake, and even if true they don't bother me.

He has become such a pompous ass of late that I don't think too many are going to care one way or the other about this case. Maybe it will give Greta and her "panel" something to talk about after the Peterson trial.

So it wasn't just a misunderstanding? Does the woman in question know what "bloviating" means? *Snicker*

She has tapes.

Like or hate the O'bloviator, this doesn't sound like him. His counter suit implies an extortion motive. Maybe the interplay between he and the female counterparts on the radio factor emboldened this woman to try for a big payday.

Don't think he did it.

Top sends

She says she has tapes.

I've gotten where I absolutely don't believe this stuff until I hear the tapes or hear from an attorney on Court TV who heard them played in open court.

Anita Hill claimed a lot of things too but it didn't take away from the central fact that she followed Clarence Thomas from job to job.

And when it was her responsibility to find a keynote speaker for sexual harrassment in the workplace, she chose Clarence Thomas. The man she said later sexually harrassed her.

I personally can't stand O'Reilly and if he did what she says he did, he'll be toast.

I just said on other thread this sounded like the Clarence Thomas BS accusation. Great minds think alike.

Who knows in this day and age? O'blowhard's opening of his show makes me very suspicious however. His filing against her first is a dead giveaway. I could definitely see him as a dirty old man. Hope she's got him on tape.

This does not compare to Clinton. O'Reilly never touched this woman unlike Bill Clinton allegedly groped Katherine Willey or Paula Jones. Essentially, O'Reilly talked dirty. Certainly, he used poor judgment but I fail to see how she was harmed by this behavior. She will experience great difficulty in winning this case even if she does have tape recordings because courts hesitate in granting awards for mere offensive behavior, especially in the absence of physical contact. Usually, courts must find the existence of a "hostile" environment at the workplace. That is, "offensive" does not necessarily equal "hostile." Further, a plaintiff also ordinarily must prove that she sought a remedy within the workplace which this plaintiff did not.

In the end, O'Reilly fantasizes about sex as most of us do. However, he used poor judgment in deciding to express those fantasies so openly at the workplace. Regardless, it does not necessarily follow that his antics amount to sexual harassment under the law.

I don't agree with everything O'Reilly says or does. I think he has been way off several times. That being said let me ask this question based on the belief that I think that the Dems "think" that O'Reilly is a conservitive. I think he is more liberal myself. They are trying to get any voice for Bush discredited, we all know this. My question is this: Is this why John Kerry has not appeared on the Factor. Maybe he knew something was going to happen to O'Reilly.
