The man who inspired people around the world with his crusade for spinal cord research has died. Christopher Reeve, who first became famous for his role in Superman, was 52.

Reeve went into cardiac arrest on Saturday after developing an infection last week from a pressure wound, which is a common complication for people living with paralysis.

He then fell into a coma and died at home on Sunday, surrounded by his family.

I guess what remains to be seen is did he call John Kerry on Sat.

Post 217's reference (I forgot the screen name...something with a "c" I think) said he was admitted to hospital on Saturday and your reference says he died at home Sunday. Was he moved back home to die?

I don't know about Kerry's call, but its obvious no one is teaching Journalism 101 anymore if there are so many inconsistencies in the various "articles."

Even if Reeve went into a coma on Saturday, are we to believe that he was in such great shape the night before that he watched the debate and decided, "Hey, I'm going to track down John Kerry's cell phone number and call him tomorrow." If he went into a coma on Saturday and died the following night, he couldn't have been in good-enough shape to be calling politicians.
