There was once a man who enjoyed hunting. He especially enjoyed hunting bears. One day, this bear hunter was out doing what bear hunters do, when he saw exactly what bear hunters like to see: a big, fat, vicious, furry bear. The bear hunter raised his trusty gun and fired. Well, it turns out that the bear hunter's trusty gun wasn't quite so trusty as he had once thought. The bear, being smarter than average, realized what this little man was trying to do. The bear hunter, realizing that the bear was aware of his small and edible presence, immediately began running away. Lo and behold, not only was this bear quick in the mind , but he was also fairly quick on his feet. The bear hunter recognizing his immenent doom, offered up an extremely sincere prayer, pleading with God to make this bear a Christian. The bear, now rather hungry after his sprint, seized the bear hunter, closed his eyes and said, "Dear Lord, thank you for this food. Please bless it that it will stop squirming after the first couple of bites. Amen."

As you can all tell this is a parable, a simple story illustrating a moral or religious lesson.. The Hunters prayer was answered, the bear turned out to be Christian. But it didnt save his life. Praying is aimless unless we pray with specificity. We all believe in prayer. Why? Because it works, especially if its done in faith and its a righteous desire. George W. Bush is the most religious, God fearing U.S. President in recent history. And in this time of evil and turmoil, we a CANNOT afford having this country run by Senator Kerry. What you can do is pray everyday that US citizens hearts will be touched and they will disregard all the media bias or accusatory invectives hurled at President Bush. That they will see his goodness, his resolve, and his commitment to keeping us safe. You can pray that he will be sharp at getting his point accross and be ready during the remaining debates. Pray every single day. Last but not least, commit others in this cause. I committed my family, in-laws, and work buddies to pray every day using directness, and I committed them to commit others with the same cause as to get this ball rolling. I know that God listens to prayers! God speed.
