A medical examiner is close to ruling out homicide in the death of a young Jewish terrorism expert. Randy Hanzlick, the medical examiner in Fulton County, Ga., said he is leaning toward the conclusion that Jason Korsower's death was heart-related. A number of tests for toxins proved negative, Hanzlick said Thursday. Korsower, who worked for the Investigative Project, died in his sleep Nov. 26 at age 29. The FBI is investigating his death. Steve Emerson, who runs the Investigative Project, has in the past received death threats because of his work investigating militant Islam.

In the wake of 9-11, when young, healthy terrorist specialists die suddenly, the authorities are interested. The FBI is investigating the sudden death of Jason Korsower, a 29 year-old terrorism expert who worked at the Washington-based Investigative Project think tank on Islamic terrorism. Investigative Project researchers have received death threats. Korsower died in his sleep in his family's Atlanta home in November after celebrating Thanksgiving with his family. Dr. Randy Hanzlick, the medical examiner in Fulton County, Ga., said he would probably rule out homicide, as there was no evidence of physical injury. An autopsy on Krosower was inconclusive. Hanzlick said he was moving toward concluding Korsower had had a heart-related problem, commenting, "This is preliminary, but at this point we've done extensive testing for a number of agents and nothing has turned up. We don't have any indication of any toxin-related problem at this point." Atlanta-based FBI agent Steve Lazarus refused to confirm or deny an investigation, citing FBI policy. FBI investigations into single homicides are rare. Steve Pomerantz, a former FBI investigator who is now a consultant to Jewish organizations said, "The only times they are involved in a homicide is in cases of terrorism, crimes on government reservations - military bases, federal property -- or, as in the case of Martin Luther King, when someone is killed while carrying out a constitutionally protected activity."

A completely mysterious death that apparently interests the FBI. Korsower worked for the Investigative Project, the organ of radical Zionist propagandist Steve Emerson. Coming on the heels of the FBI's investigation of AIPAC, one has to wonder if this isn't another case of PWS. PWS, or Potential Witness Syndrome, affects those with information that might interest investigators in high profile conspiracy cases. As a disease, it is quite unique, killing its victims in numerous ways including suicide by multiple gun shot wounds to the head, hunting accidents, suicide by throwing oneself through plate glass windows in high-rise buildings, murders by robbers who don't take anything, hit-and-run accidents, and, as in the case of Mr. Korsower, inexplicable deaths while sleeping. The biggest outbreak of PWS occurred during the Congressional investigations of the Kennedy assassination during the 1970's, but an outbreak of this mysterious fatal disease can occur whenever there is the danger of witnesses talking to investigators.
