Question about FFL

I have a question about Class 1 FFL. If I obtain one, Can I sell guns to myself at a penny or do I even need to sell them to myself? I have been browsing sites such as gunbroker.com and I have found alot of good deals, But it may be cheaper for the 200$ fee for the FFL than to pay 25-35$ for each transfer to a local gunshop.

I didn't really understand your post, but it's a little late to be getting into a Fantasy Football League, and this probably isn't the best forum to be asking about it.

Please bear in mind that my advice here is going to be from circa early 1990's.

I was a class 1 firearms dealer during the late 1980's, through about mid 1992. At the time, I could buy class 1 firearms from any wholesale dealer, so long as they had an original signature FFL from me on file. From that point, the firearm was registered into my "bound book", and then right back out again to ME. This was, or course, for firearms that I bought personally.

The BATF used to have a FAQ on all this...the common questions. Have you checked http://www.atf.gov ?

Brunell is starting tonight, according to the latest intell report out of Redskin Park, although he's one hit away from Social Security. Also, keep your eye on the Jurgensen situation: Dan Snyder had an intercom installed in the WTOP press box so that he can summon Sonny onto the field take over the quarterbacking duties should Brunell and Ramsey fail to live up to the great standards set by our current color commentary guru. Also, if Lemar Marshall doesn't measure up as Lavar's back-up (he should, but you never know), then Sonny's broadcast partner, Sam Huff, will be summoned onto the field as well. They will certainly become the first QB and LB to ever play the game with lit cigars in mouth!

I'm sorry. I read Owl_Eagle's response before reading the original posting (something we seem to have a habit of doing!). Yes, Brunell is starting tonight, but he and Ramsey both have FFLs, and are not afraid of packing heat during a game. In fact, last season when Ramsey was sacked 23 times in the first seven quarters of play, he told then-coach Steve Spurrier that he would "do something" to protect himself if the Ol' Ball Coach didn't scheme somehting up better for protecting the QB.

The matter came to a head during a 24-23 loss at Miami during Week 12. After being sacked early on by defensive end Adewale Ogunleye, Ramsey could be seen on the sidelines yelling at Spurrier, although the ESPN production team chose to cut away from the spectacle. However, the Channel 9 live feed in the D.C. market stayed on it, showing Ramsey skulking off to the locker room and then returning with a suspicious bulge near his waistband. Then, when linebacker Brendon Ayanbandejo came through untouched on a blitz, Ramsey pulled a handgun from under his jersey and threatened the hapless rookie, ruining the moment for the UCLA product as he saw the opportunity for his first NFL sack dissipate with the cold reality of a .45 caliber Glock. The referees missed the incident while tending to a dust-up between Redskins running back Trung Canidate and Ogunleye. But, when Ramsey was injured later in the quarter, he was seen passing the Glock off to his back-up, Tim Hasselbeck. Redskins officials stepped in before it could degenerate any further, and Spurrier resigned two months later.

Brunell, of course, is famous for the unfortunate incident when his former team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, lost to the Dallas Cowboys 21-19 during Week 12 of the 2002 season. Brunell, known for his love and study of military history, claimed to have a "Vietnam flashback" triggered by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder when he was blitzed by linebacker Dat Nguyen, one of the few NFL players of Vietnamese descent. Whether Brunell ever saw action under enemy fire in the Vietnam conflict is under dispute; however, the league swept the incident under the rug as quickly as possible so as not to upset marketing operations in the emerging Asian-American community.

Ther is a big concern if you don't have a business location. Even if you are approved as a kitchen table dealer (and they have tried to reduce these) you end up making your whole residence fair-game unwarranted search material for the ATF. Now, they don't generally do unnanounced raids, and you probably don't have much to hide, but it's a big step to essentially give the feds the keys to your front door.

Consider a friend with a small business, and putting a safe at that location.
