DUmmie FUnnies 09-26-04 AM Edition (Mandatory Mental Health Testing Paranoia)
Various DUmmies and Assorted MOrons | September 26, 2004 | DUmmies and PJ-Comix

Posted on 09/26/2004 8:17:43 AM PDT by PJ-Comix

A strong note of irony in this Morning Edition of the DUmmie FUnnies. The irony being that the DUmmies are concerned about mandatory mental health testing. Yes, here we have the Web's premier website of delusional paranoia and psychotic rantings and now these very qualities are brought to bear on the subject of mental health testing. And of course, according to the Dummies this is all a devious plot hatched by Bush, Cheney, and the Eli Lilly company. Oh, did I mention Karl Rove? Sorry for the oversight because as all good DUmmies know, Rove’s conpiratorial fingers are in every plot. The commentary of your humble correspondent is in the [brackets]:

Is mandatory mental health testing the beginning of the end? Across America the citizens of our country are in the dark about what this administration is doing to us. The idea of mandatory mental health testing is another indicator that our once glorious nation is being destroyed from within.

[I have a solution to mandatory mental health testing. Just gather a list of all members of the DUmmie site who have been posting there for at least 3 months, and put them in a program of electro-shock therapy and lithium treatment. This will remove the most dangerous of the mental cases from causing harm to society without the need for mandatory mental health testing.]

'mental health screenings' will separate those that conform from those that have ideas or opinions outside the acceptable party line. This is SCARY!

[Mental health screenings will also severely deplete the DUmmie membership numbers.]

Mental health is both underfunded and misunderstood as well as being a political tool for control.

[Support mental health or….I’LL KILL YOU!!!]

any other mental health professionals on DU?

[I dunno but we already know there is an overwhelming number of DUmmie mental health cases there.]

This feels to me like a drug company payoff

[And one of those Dummie mental health cases is the author of the paranoid post above.]

Absolutely! I bet if you researched the support for this, you'd find big money from pharmaceutical companies financing the whole thing

[And now this DUmmie can share the padded cell with the author of the previous paranoid post.]

I'm afraid it's far more sinister than that, but it's the $$$ too...Please don't forget that the Bushes have been huge fans of eugenics, and basically still are. Please don't forget about the CIA's various mind-control experiments and activities, and you KNOW that at least some of the pharmaceuticals (many of which had strong ties to Nazi Germany) are perfectly well aware and also INVOLVED. AND that Bush Sr. was head of the CIA for a while. No, this isn't JUST about money. Nosirree. Mark my words.

[The bad news is that elecro-shock therapy probably isn’t enough to help you. The good news is that a full frontal lobotomy has an outside chance of doing the trick.]

More than one journalist has uncovered corrupt connections between the Bush Family, psychiatry, and Eli Lilly & Company, the giant pharmaceutical corporation. While previous Lillygates have been more colorful, Lilly's soaking state Medicaid programs with Zyprexa-its blockbuster, antipsychotic drug-may pack the greatest financial wallop. Worldwide in 2003, Zyprexa grossed $4.28 billion, accounting for slightly more than one-third of Lilly's total sales. In the United States in 2003, Zyprexa grossed $2.63 billion, 70 percent of that attributable to government agencies, mostly Medicaid. Historically, the exposure of any single Lilly machination-though sometimes disrupting it-has not weakened the Bush-psychiatry-Lilly relationship. In the last decade, some of the more widely reported Eli Lilly intrigues include: a. Influencing the Homeland Security Act to protect itself from lawsuits b. Accessing confidential patient records for a Prozac sample mailing c. Rigging the Wesbecker Prozac-violence trial A sample of those who have been on the Eli Lilly payroll includes: a. Former President George Herbert Walker Bush (one-time member of the Eli Lilly board of directors) b. Former CEO of Enron, Ken Lay (one-time member of the Eli Lilly board of directors) c. George W. Bush's former director of Management and Budget, Mitch Daniels (a former Eli Lilly vice president) d. George W. Bush's Homeland Security Advisory Council member, Sidney Taurel (current CEO of Eli Lilly) e. The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (a recipient of Eli Lilly funding)

[Shame on you for NOT ONCE invoking the name of KARL ROVE! Your DUmmie membership is hereby suspended until such time that your paranoia advances to the point that your posting privileges can be resumed.]

And WTF dos 'freedom' have to do with such mandatory testing on such a personal level? * has proven himself to be less than altruistic for everything else. Oh. I'm already getting treatment. My docs know I have anxiety and ADD, so what? I can still contribute to society.

[To say nothing of contributing loads of paranoia to the DUmmie Forum. Oh, and congrats on being so psychotically hateful that you can’t even type Bush’s name and must substitute an * instead. As to your treatment, the lithium and the electrodes are on the way!]

So is it any surprise that PNAC and their puppet want to test us all? "Weed out the defectives"?

[That will be easy to do. Just go check off everybody on the DUmmie membership list.]

"The Dream and the Nightmare: The Sixties' Legacy to the Underclass" by Myron Magnet (Editor of MI's quarterly magazine) is the book that strategist Karl Rove called a roadmap to Bush's compassionate conservatism.

[WHEW! You’ve restored my faith in DUmmie paranoia. This thread was going way too long without a single mention of KARL ROVE and now you’re redeemed yourself and your fellow DUmmies!]

How do they determine the mental health of a pre-schooler? How do they determine the mental health of anyone for that matter?

[Easy. If you’re a DUmmie, you’re automatically a mental case.]

All I'd like to know is how they would determine if an individual is abnormal. What circumstances would have to be presenet to determine a person needs meds? Hey, have a TV on in the background showing a shrub speech, and I'm sure I'd be diagnosed as a raving maniac!!!

[BINGO!!!]

compassionate conservatism = wanton disregard

new freedom = medieval tyranny

[dummie postings = paranoid delusions]

I will chew grass and eat dirt.......make them think I'm crazy.

[It would be more effective if you just continue your DUmmie postings.]

Personally, I think our society is dysfunctional which is why so many people are responding in ways that others would diagnose as "mental."

[Case in point---your post.]

This has been like watching mental patients discussing psychiatry. Come to think of it, a lot of shrinks ARE flat out bonkers. Maybe further down this thread I will mention my strange experience with a wacko shrink (I wasn't his patient). But for now, enjoy the DUmmie paranoid rantings on the subject of Mental Health. And let me know if you want to be placed on the DUmmie FUnnies PING list. DUmmie FUnnies is now a regular feature.

p.s. Maybe I'm getting as paranoid as the DUmmies but this is the second time I typed in font color="red" and got green. Then I typed in font color=#FF0000" and STILL got green. Maybe KARL ROVE really is controlling our HTML!!!

If there is one thing the DUmmies should not be talking about it is mental health.

I just ROTFLMAO every time I read this stuff. It's uncanny that every conspiratorial concept involves KR in some fashion. These people just have an aversion to FACTS don't they?

Thanks for your James Bond 007 frontline work. Your reports are looked forward to every day.

They almost let me down this time but one DUmmie finally did work in the KARL ROVE connection. No DUmmie thread is valid without that all important KARL ROVE reference. It's like the DUmmie seal of Paranoid Excellence.

It would be interesting from this point forward to specifically have a sidebar to the KR angle.

Call it Roving For Rove.

Posted like a true DUfus:

"The national media is so cowed by the administration and the right-wing attack machinery, that they will help them disseminate their lies and distortions, where as, local media outlets are more inclined to exposed the misrepresentations and reveal the truth rather that play the "views differ" game.

It also shows that a Democrat, even a liberal Democrat, can appeal to middle of the road and even conservative voters, if he has a sense of integrity and core values and sticks to them, rather than bending over backwards to accomodate the big, bad Republicans.

That is the lesson of what's happening to John Kerry. Instead of standing on his principals and what he knew to be true, he tried to make a political calculation on the IWR, thinking ahead to his presidential campaign and now they are using that very vote to kick his ass as a flip, flopper with no integrity or core values."

Posted by a PHDU, or an MDU:

"Is there some way to access his medical records- from the past to the present? I'd rather have these than the AWOL stuff anyday.

I think he has some sort of epilepsy that cannot be controlled without making him drowsy - thus it is allowed to be untreated for short periods of time so he can try to make speeches, etc. Then he falls off his bicycle, chokes on his food, has to go to bed very early, and so forth."

Also interesting are their discussions on therapy or medications they are receiving, then turn around and call other people crazy. They are so empty inside, so lacking in faith to call on, that they try to fill the void with psycho-babble and pharmaceuticals.

This line amazes me. You can have core values and still be wrong!!!

I can't think of where they can get the dirt other than from their back yard.........but there are places where they already DO EAT GRASS............it's called "Wheat grass" and you can get at a "Health" food store (Doesn't that tie in nicely with this story....teee heee, heee.

DUnno nothin':

"Do we really want someone with such a short fuse leading our nation at this time?

Personally, I don't think Bush can take criticism at all. If Kerry criticizes the war on terror or the way Bush has handled the war in Iraq or how he forgot about bin Laden or how his taxcut plan has been an unmitigated disaster for our economy or that he has been a miserable failure, then Bush will not be able to contain himself. He will lose it and smirk and stutter. It's a silver bullet for Kerry."

DUbate advice to Kerry:

"COuld he point out the abridgement of OUR freedoms vis the Patriot Act, new back-scatter scanners in aiports that "see through clothing" (WSJ on Wednesday? mid-week in any event), the arrest, imprisonment and/or deportation of "people of interest," warrentless searches, etc.

And one more thing. Since I'm not yet allowed to post new threads, does anybody know (or has then been hashed out already) precisely what threat Cat Stevens (I've forgotten his Muslim name...something Yusef?) poses to the U.S.? I mean besides his awful music? DOes this mean that Britney will be deported soon?"
