WORLD WAR IV?

Posted on 09/23/2004 11:17:24 PM PDT by Fishman1

I was in an interesting conversation are we now in World War IV or World War III. Is there any one that does not agree this is a World War that was started with the first World Trade Center Bombings? Islamo-Fascism must be defeated and all must remain vigilant.

This war started with the seizure of the US Embassy in Tehran.

WWIII.

I disagree with the appleation of the Cold War as WWIII and this war with Islam as WWIV.

Some have called the Cold War number III; and this number IV.

Regardless of the number, much of the world today faces muslim terror. Much far, far away from Israel.

What goes on in Philippines, Indonesia, Maylasia and India has nothing to do with the so called palestinian situation.

I'd say it started before 9/11/2001 but it went unregognised for years. Heck--the left still doesn't recognise it, nor does the UN.

Surely the US was blind, when we opted to support the muslims in the Balkan conflicts.

Agreed.

But by whatever name or number you call it, that is what it is shaping up to be. And it pronbably will not end up with just us against the Silamo-fascists. I fully expect Red China to weigh in at some point and have written about it.

We must remain vigilant and steeled for potentially worse to come and hold the course.

WWIV.

WWIII was the Cold War. It was Global, it was huge, it was a battle for power. It was a real World War.

That's probably the best starting point...although I believe some hijackings took place before then.

The taking of the embassy was clearly an act of war though and respresetns as good a place as any.

I believe we are going to see it expand and include more than just terror organizations and small islamic countries. Red China, Iran, N. Korea...the list of potential adversaries gives it that potential.

I pray I am wrong.

Interesting...I had a conversation today about when we get attacked by Nukes in the U.S. what will China do in Taiwan? It is only because they weren't prepared to react after 9/11 that nothing happened. This time I am sure they will be better prepared.

N. Korea and Iran as well...History will tell you what happens when populations get hungry enough and go in search of food ie: what will happen in N Korea.

They will only act when we are fully engaged and what they consider to be over extended in at least two places IMHO...Mid East and Korea?

Who knows? But there is no doubt that they are preparing for it.

I agree.

What do you think about all the pro-China people who participate here now?

Too many are being suckered into to the outsourcing and so called world-wide economy game. They feel if everyone is interdependent, then there is less chance for war.

What they fail to see is that we (the US) are being brought away from a position where we were largely independent and becoming more and more dependent on other nations. If those other nation's goal is to use our dependence against us, then there is room for trouble.

China is preparing for just that...and it is fairly obvious.
