Here's to hopin' yer prescient tale comes to fruition even before 2010. While I am against theocracies as a rule, I'm especially dubious about efforts to shape a theocracy around Islam, which seems so over-bearing and ruthless, while deathly afraid of FReedom. The Life the Soviets were selling was at least promising security and bounty...of course, Communism failed, but at least they were offering a better life. These Islamo-Fascists aren't even offering a better life, imho...it's all about HATE and POWER and DEATH.

In my novels, we don't get to that popointn in 2010 until after four years of the most horrific warfare abroad, and horrendous terror on our own shores.

After this, in the series, there are still two more years of conflict before the Silamics and Red Chinese are put down.

Excerpt from Dubyuh's 23 February 2004 sppech to the Nation's Governors...

This is the caliber of the people who are defending America. We are counting on them. The people of Iraq, and people across the Middle East, are depending on them. And I assure you, ladies and gentlemen, the cause of freedom is in good hands. This nation is prosperous and strong, yet we need to remember the sources of America's greatness. We're strong because we love freedom. America has a special charge to keep, because we are freedom's home and defender. We believe that freedom is the deepest need and hope of every human heart. We believe that freedom is the future of every nation, and we know that freedom is not America's gift to the world, it is the Almighty God's gift to every man and woman in this world."
