The documents are fake. Unless you are Dan Rather, you know it with a near certainty. So now for the interesting questions. Who faked these documents? What is their origin? Who gave them to CBS? Dan Rather knows, because the identity of the source would reveal it the answers. So who is CBS protecting?
Let’s run down the possible suspects:
• Kerry campaign, with or without Kerry’s personal knowledge • Bush Campaign • CBS Itself • Lt. Col. Killian or His Secretary • Team Hillary 2008 • Gore 2000 Campaign • John McCain, or a McCain Supporter without McCain’s Knowledge
Each possibility is explored in detail, with the conclusion that the documents came from Killian (or his secretary) or from the Gore 2000 campaign.
Is there a possibilty missing from this list? Who else could have done it?

Can I add another question/possibility..we've all heard that Rather's producer, Mary something, has been on the story for FOUR years..yet, don't recall I've read ANYTHING about her..why has she flown so low under the radar..where's the "pajama brigade" research department..sleeping?
They are from Carvill's group. It's not coincidental that Kerry hired Carville. And all Carville wants to do is talk about Bush's war record. AWOL... and all that garbage. Then a couple of weeks later... we have the forged memos.
Actually, I'm wagering that Sandy Berger is the culprit.
