No. These are fakes, no doubt about it. Even Kerry's campaigners are trying to distance themselves from them, saying that they sent them to CBS with great doubts as to authenticity.

But IMHO even it the documents were real, it wouldn't be a big problem for W. IMHO, it would be more or less as serious as the DUI charge which the Dems hauled out four years ago. Definitely less.
This story was going to be trumped up by the Dems for the next two months. It wouldn't have gone anywhere. Nobody cares about Bush's service except the Dems that have a political ax to grind. People are tired of hearing this same charge periodically return to the front. Bush didn't betray our veterans and he didn't burn our flag. Bush is being vetted for his four years as C-I-C. Kerry is vulnerable because of his behavior after Vietnam and he lacks a strong record to demonstrate he'd be a good C-I-C. He pinned it all on 4 months and the the Swift Vets in conjuction with the POW's have discredited him.
The Dems are even now trying to make this about G.W's service. No one is interested. They are only interested in Media Fraud. If the story of Fraud died, interest dies. The Dems do not understand this. They somehow believe they can transder the interest devoted to Fraud and where it came from, to a negative against Bush's service. They live in their own bubble.

Depending on your particular bend, I might be able to suggest something in a nice soft cheese that is much easier to spread. Parmesan is much too hard and might cause minor skin irritation.

There isn't any evidence they are authentic, they aren't authentic, and the pope is catholic too. Our eyes aren't lying to us. Commies are. Get a grip. People on our side only have to tell the truth - that is all.

I agree. Rather is too far gone to actually even be considered in a contest with Rummy. I never thought I'd see the day people would laugh at Walter Crankcase; Walt being the "national father" of us kids growing up in the '60's with him in our living room every night. But the laughter has started.
I can't imagine Dan Rather wanting to go out the same way. But I guess a liberal just can't help himself. If they can't lie and distort, their life is over. There will probably be a lie on Dan Rathers headstone. I know there will be one on Crankcase's. They plan on putting something like "The Father of Television Journalism" under his name.

I don't think this is the October Surprise her Thighness warned us about, dragged out earlier than planned due to W's lead picking up.
I wonder what it's eventually going to be.

Your point about no errors in the documents is a great one.
I remember typing papers on typewriters when I was in high schools. It was torture to correct those errors, and they WERE inevitable.
