Don't forget who Dan Rather is!
I will not forget that CBS anchor Dan Rather preceded President Bush's address to the nation with the snide remark, "No matter how you feel about him, he is still our president."
I will not forget that ABC TV anchor Peter Jennings questioned President Bush's motives for not returning immediately to Washington, DC and commented, "We're all pretty skeptical and cynical about Washington."
And I will not forget that ABC's Mark Halperin warned if reporters weren't informed of every little detail of this war, they aren't "likely - nor should they be expected -- to show deference."
I will not isolate myself from my fellow Americans by pretending an attack on the USS Cole in Yemen was not an attack on the United States of America.
I will not forget the Clinton administration equipped Islamic terrorists and their supporters with the world's most sophisticated telecommunications equipment and encryption technology, thereby compromising America's ability to trace terrorist radio, cell phone, land lines, faxes and modem communications."
And, don't forget, his groveling to Saddam during the interview in Iraq prior to the war...
Dan Rather went on David Letterman and cried after Sept. 11. What was that anyway, an act? Or just part of his mental imbalance?
Rather was up Saddam's a** at least up to his ankles in that interview. It was sickening to watch.
The office I worked at that morning had a tiny black and white TV, so for the first few hours all I had was abcnbccbs to get news.
I turned off CeeBS when they insisted on airing the jumpers over and over again... and I have never turned him back on.
Welcome to FR :)
You forgot one!
OK, this is second-hand, since I was in my car driving back from a cancelled flight on 9/11 when the towers collapsed, but I have a co-worker that SWEARS that when the towers came down, Dan Rather looked into the camera and said, "There you have it, Collaption."
AND never forget what CBS tried to do Ronald Reagan while he was on his death bed.
The latter. Seeing a puppy sneeze would get Dan choked up.
Question: When saddam paid suicide terrorist bomber's families reward money, was this terrorist related crime?
Or was it just random payments to help the families that lose a member??
LOL... he seems to thrive in that 'r(e)arified' air!
IMHO That interview with Saddam was covered by the US constitutions "Treason" section.
Makes the 60 minutes docs pale by comparison...........
I was never prouder to be be part of the American people who told CBS what to do with Streisand's ghastly movie about one of the most beloved American Presidents ever! Now, again, CBS is embroiled in something controversial and highly suspect. The MSM is doing such a magnificent job at self-destructing.
Yes, Dan Rather cried about 9-11.
And now, 3 years later to the day, Rather is self-destructing himself and the credibility of the US press over his manic delusion that America's future Presidential voting decision hinges on finding proof whether George Bush intentionally evaded showing up for two ANG drill weekends in the fall of 1972.
Yea, that interview was sickening....
Sadly CBS is likely to somewhat get the last laugh about the Reagan movie when those morons who run the political garbage that is the Emmys likely give the oddly nominated and widely debunked Reagan movie awards. But no then again I suppose they're more likely to allow that drivel that was ANGELS to win everything...oh and the great Democrat president Bartlet on the WEST WING...*sigh*
That was a low blow.
Mr. Rather, have you no shame?
"I will not forget that CBS anchor Dan Rather preceded President Bush's address to the nation with the snide remark, "No matter how you feel about him, he is still our president."
No surprise here. Hell, he had Gore the winner before the election was over.
