** VOTER GUIDE ** By: David C. Osborne : 31 AUG 2004, (LEON COUNTY, FLORIDA REPUBLICAN PRIMARY)
David C. Osborne ^ | 08 AUGUST 2004 | David C. Osborne

UNITED STATES SENATOR

Doug GALLAGHER

......This was a tough choice but I must vote my conscience on this one... I had it down to McCollum or Martinez at one point, but in the end decided to go with Gallagher in the primary.. this is a race that can be one with very few votes given the number of candidates in the race and NO RUN-OFF !!....

4th CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT

Deborah KATZ PUESCHEL

..... I am supporting Deborah again this year, and I think we have enough votes to get rid of the UNPRODUCTIVE party PUPPET we have in Ander CRENSHAW.... Deborah is far more conservative than Crenshaw, and not afraid to fight for what she believes in and will NOT be just a Republican Puppet

COUNTY COMMISSIONER, AT LARGE, GROUP 1

Ed DEPUY

... This is a very critical race, we must get rid of Rudy MALOY who is a disaster to LEON county...Ed DEPUY was there for us when Mr. MALOY was dealing with his legal problems... We NEED Ed DEPUY back on the commission..

I have to admit that I don't know Mr. Gallagher that well but then I am not Republican so I don't have to worry about knowing him until the full election. I am glad to see you did do one critical thing...You voted your Conscience and NOT FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS!! If more conservatives did this they would find out that they really are the majority.

They were 71% in Missouri! but they have been terrorized and split because the RINO's that run the Republican party keep telling them that every true conservative is unelectable. It is critical you vote your conscience as a Conservative because if you carefully analyze where the Dem's and RINO's are going it is the same place! just at very slightly different speeds. Congratualtions on your vote for U.S. Senator.

Thanks.. you hit the nail on the head.. I felt "obligated" to vote for one of the two "ELECTABLE" candidates.. Martinez or McCollum...... but I am trying to lead by EXAMPLE... we violate the intent of the primary election when we don't vote our conscience.... in the general I will vote for the Republican Candidate because it is critical to keep and even increase our majority in congress...... The only way we will REALLY know what conservatives REALLY think is to vote our conscience in the primary.. and not automatically/blindly punch the card for the "favored" REPUBLICAN....

When you make the final step of always voting your conscience then this country will be on its way back to a Constitutional Republic not run by the media and the elitest oligarchy. Until that time we will steadily be run by the RINO Republican Leadership Council and the DNC Democrat Leadership Council which are both headed for international socialism -- Communism.

By the Way if you voted for a true conservative, not Republican, and all your Conservative voters in a conservative district did the same and you elected a non-Republican Conservative to Congress, just who do you think they are going to caucus with and therefore have the majority? I can't imagine it would be the Demorats!

I will vote for Bill Mc Collum---He was our representative, in the 8th cong district and established his conservative credentials, to my satisfaction.
He will ALWAYS line up with Conservatives--re: the issues which are my priorities--
The WAR on TERROR----and----Judicial Nominees--ESPECIALLY to the Supreme Court--!

Thanks...I am new to Tallahassee (been here 7 months) and wasn't sure for whom to vote. I attended a recent Leon County GOP event and had my picture made with Gov. Bush....one of the highlights since I have been here!

I'm planning to vote for Mel Martinez. He is the only major candidate that mentions the RKBA on his website. He claims to be a strong supported of the 2nd.

I don't know much about Gallagher, but McCollum is a gun-grabbing statist. He's never met an infringement on the Bill of Rights that he didn't like, and he supported the Assault Weapons Ban when he was in the House.

David you might want to rethink your support of Gallagher. There's a post this morning on FR that he has just hired the former Gore guy who wrote the 2000 memo on how to stop the military vote in FL.

I know Bill McCollum, he's a fine, honest gentleman of the highest integrity. I have served with him on matter of concern to folks in central Florida and opposed him when oppposition on my part was indicated by a difference of opinion. Bill has always respected opposing views and has similarly been an eager listener to those who advocate those views different from his own. He is not driven by ideology, but by what serves the nation first and his constituents next.

I've been looking to see if anyone had posted anything re Deborah Katz Pueschel and this is it so far.

I spoke with her yesterday and believe she will make a great Congresswoman. She is very conservative and not a career politician like Ander Crenshaw.

Thanks for taking the time to talk to her... I have come to know Deborah very well over the last couple of years, and I KNOW that she has what it takes to go to Washington. She will help in bringing the Republican Party back to its CONSERVATIVE roots, and will not be afraid to stand up and tell our fellow Republicans that they are making far too many concessions to the LEFT.... Ander Crenshaw will NOT take a position on ANYTHING until its time to vote, and will NOT lead ANYTHING that is considered "controversial"... and in the end will vote the way the REPUBLICAN leadership tells him to vote.... This has been demonstrated numerous times on numerous issues, and that is why we NEED

Deborah Katz Pueschel, Republican for Congress District 4

REMEMBER the PRIMARY is IT... there is NO DEMOCRAT RUNNING... GET OUT AND VOTE PLEASE...

Gallagher is a bag of hot air and no substance.

I can't imagine why you went with him for Senate.

Every bit of his commercials is totally devoid of anything specific....like John Kerry. You could listen to him for two hours and still not walk away with anything specific except that he is not "one of the M&M boys" (Martinez and McCollum).

In short, he is a creation of spin/advertising.

The main reason I voted for him was because there was so much pressure to vote for Martinez because he was "Bush's guy" and that is NOT what a primary is about... I hate when folks vote for the person who is "electable" rather than the person who is best for the job.... I liked the fact that he was not a career politician and that was the heart of his campaign message... He would vote his conscience every time period... and that is VERY important to me.... that having been said it apppears that Martinez will be the Republican candidate and we should ALL support him and WIN this seat for the "R's"
