SwiftVets fire back! (letter and affidavit!)
The Ponderosa ^ | 8/6/2004 | Moi

Again, this would not be an issue had not Kerry made his 4 month tour of duty the centerpiece of his campaign -- indeed, judging by how little we heard (what was it -- 76 words?) in his acceptance speech of his career since then, he was apparently in a Rip Van WInkle-esque coma from 1971 through early 2003.

Despite the predictable caterwauling from the usual suspects, this issue is fair game. Apparently, young Kerry hoped to parlay his time in the military into a career in politics, indeed, as did his hero JFK, into the Presidency. If he did obtain two or more purple hearts under dubious circumstances, as the SwiftVets are asserting, we need to know BEFORE he takes the oath of office.

This can work out so well. The Globe story is keeping the Swiftboat commercial in the news.

John Kerry is either a "war hero" or a "war criminal"

Can't have it both ways.

John Kerry is either a "war hero" or a "war criminal"

I vote for "war criminal," considering his admissions of actions that clearly violated the Geneva Convention and all that...

I really think that Kerry has been trapped. After the convention, he is ripe for attacks on his military record. After all, that's all he has to offer. After he is attacked on what he did and didn't do during the war, he should be attacked for his anti-war activities.

When we are at war with Islamic fascism, do we really want to elect a "peacenik"?

I want someone who will go after the enemy before they hit us, not after, as Kerry promised in his DNC speech.

Kerry promised to go after the terrorists *after* they hit us. We all know that is a lie. He will *never* go after them because doing so might offend the French and their economic interests.

Yes, the lies are already spilling from the "Pravda" boys. The line about none of the men serving with Kerry was classic BS supported by the frothing leftists, that have so much invested in the socialist/Marixist element in this country now, they are play a game of "ALL IN" poker with this election. The good part is they are showing thier cards at the same time. How anyone could deny major media bias is beyond all logic.

The picture of the lighter is priceless. Excellent job!

The other part of the media/goverment complex that is a real blow to the First Amendment, is the so-called Campaign Reform. The political dregs that put that forward KNEW PRECISELY that it would offer the leftist media the opportunity TO ADVERTISE THE LEFT'S CANDIDATES by being able to select WHO and WHEN they, under the disquise of news, would support, interview, etc. the left to the hilt and ignore the conservative candidates, with total purpose. As you know the candidates are restricted from doing ads certain time periods before the election (JOKE) BUT THE MEDIA IS IN NO WAY CONSTRAINED. The so-called campaign reform bill, wholly unconstitutional, opened the way for the furtherment of the leftist government/media complex to dominate election politics a good two months before the election, supporting the candidates of their selection with NO RESTRICTION.

How is that for support of the Constitution??? :-(
